Walking through the mist, Nate noticed that while his horns were absorbing some of the demonic energy without affecting him at all, his teammates seemed to be in varying states. Looking around, he noticed that both Rob and Laura had weird flushed looks on their faces, but Selene seemed as if she was completely fine. "What is going on?" he asked Selene.
"The mist is some kind of demonic magic that is showing them something that they desire," she said blank-faced as she looked over Laura. "Something they desire" Nate Mused.
"I felt the effects myself, but the magic didn't seem to find anything it could latch onto," Selene expanded.
Nate nodded, understanding. As a demon, he was completely unaffected by the mist, while Selene, as a human, could feel the effect but it didn't take hold.
