Looking at the map of the academy, Selene traced their planned patrol route with her finger. She glanced at Nate, her dark eyes assessing. "Is your illusion magic capable of cloaking our entire group?"
Nate paused, considering. Prior to using the affinity crystal, he would have said no without hesitation. But now, he felt a new wellspring of power within him. "I can attempt it," he replied, straightening his shoulders. Reaching into his mana core, he drew forth shimmering threads of illusion magic, weaving them around his teammates. To his satisfaction, the spell took hold, rendering them invisible. "I estimate I can maintain this for about half an hour before depleting my reserves," he explained. "It will take some time to recharge after that."
Selene nodded approvingly. "That's sufficient. The sustained casting will serve as good practice for you."
