The rest of the week passed uneventfully for Nate. With Professor Garret away on vacation and Jodi instructing him not to visit until summoned, he enjoyed a peaceful period attending his normal classes and spending quality time with Gwen.
Today was special - his family had arrived in the capital for his brother's wedding tomorrow. Nate was getting ready to leave the academy and meet them at the rented estate. As he finished his preparations, he glanced at his reflection with satisfaction. His medium-length black hair was neatly braided behind his head, revealing his small, pointed fae ears. He had dressed in new, high-quality brown trousers and a crisp white button-up shirt, topped with a dark green vest. His black boots were freshly polished.
After finishing up, Nate made his way to Gwen's room on the second floor and knocked gently on her door.
