The runic data that normally showed Sam's stats had undergone a rapid change as soon as the strange energy settled within Sam's Soul realm. Sam didn't need to see it to know what change had occurred within her. She could feel it within the mental landscape that housed her consciousness. Above her soul core, the center of her Soul realm was a massive ring of stars that wrapped around a white core of energy. As Sam studied those six rings that were made up of rotating dots that looked like stars, she realized that they were Mana, the magical energy that she had had a tough time with before. Sam had managed to compress and condense the energy into forming a core that would become the center of her Star core, the organ responsible for converting her Od into Mana. Even after forming the core, there was still excess energy that her body would condense and mold into the rings that would wrap around the core, looking like a mini galaxy. The light from her Star core pushed the darkness that filled her Soul Realm, symbolizing the enlightenment that Sam had received. Sam felt like her mental prowess had increased greatly, a feeling of understanding and comprehension taking root as she understood her position. Even though she had just formed her Star core, Sam's rank as a Sorceress was not at the bottom but had stabilized at the beginning phase of the Master rank. Sam didn't understand how she had this knowledge but instinctively she knew the cultivation rank for the Arcane art.
Novice rank, Acolyte rank, Adept rank, Expert rank, Grand rank, Master rank, Grandmaster rank, Supreme rank, and then Transcendent rank.
Each of these ranks was divided into stages like the mystic ranks, stages of beginner, low, High, and Peak. If Sam were to quantify these stages into numbers from one to ten, she would say that she was at the second stage of the Master rank. And that wasn't all. She was also armed with knowledge of two spells. These spells were mid tiers and yet one of them was the right spell for this exact moment. Sam withdrew her senses from within herself as she faced the giant machine that had attacked her with psychic memories of her past. Around her was a storm of Infernal power, the Infernal engine's attempt to protect itself. Even though Sam had massive amounts of Mana within her, both her body and soul were still hurting from the exhaustion she had gone through, fighting all those abominations. Her mind was the only thing that was renewed with energy and power. So she could only use her power in her current state once. She had just one chance to get rid of these damn machine for good.
Do not worry, Master! A voice said in her head. Sam didn't bother to look at the creature that had appeared around her. Instead of the golden deer that had descended, it was a large white and black bird, with six wings with two of them wrapped around Sam. Flowing through the bird's body was white lightning, the air space seemed to be expanding and contracting, the temperature rising. I, Avis Tontrualis, shall aid you. It was the Spirit being that Sam had somehow made a contract with. She had no idea how it happened nor did she begin to question it. All she did was get her mind ready, using her will to weave the spell that would purify the entire land.
[Sonata Requiem] Sam opened her mouth and let out a blinding scream, the sound wave pushed the Magical power out of her, weaving the right runic formula that then activated the Purification magic. Sonata Requiem was a sixth-tier spell that combined the elemental energy of fire, wind, earth, and light to create a musical composition that could restore negative forces to its original nature. The spell created a blinding white light that was made up of melody, rhythm, and harmony, which gave it its musical form of white light. As Sam continued to release the musical spell, the Thunderbird gathered its energy and activated its attack spell of great magnitude.
[Thunderbolt] A pure bolt of white lightning, nature's most destructive force tore through the dark clouds and pierced through the Infernal engine as it was being dismantled by the Purification magic Sam had cast. When both spells clashed against the machine, the Infernal engine couldn't take it anymore, and there was an explosion of white light, piercing through the heavens. The light spread the music throughout the town of Cedar Lake, purifying the Infernal darkness that stained every part of it. Even the corpses that had begun to rot were turned to dust, every lost and damn souls were restored to their natural state of being, entering the cycle of rebirth or the pathway that led to the Afterlife. Sam felt it all happen, the turbulent wind pushing against her face due to the force of the explosion. Luckily, the Thunderbirds' wings acted as a barrier protecting Sam, Emily, and Henry. After a while, things went back to normal, the dark miasma that covered the sky was gone, and the World energy of the planet had replaced the stinking nature of Infernal energy, letting in pure, clean air for everyone to breathe in nicely. Sam felt her mind going numb from exhaustion, her legs tried so hard to keep standing. She tried to walk forward but then nearly stumbled, but was caught by Emily. The black-haired girl smiled at Sam, astounded at the type of spell she had cast. For the past weeks, Emily had been helping Sam to try and understand how to use the Arcane art, but she had been unable to comprehend it. But now, she had somehow reached the Master rank with a six-ring core. Emily understood how Sam had managed to skip all the previous ranks. The foundation base of her soul was so strong that the Mystical rank of her soul had influenced what her Arcane rank would be. But for Sam to be able to cast such a spell....that wasn't something she had expected her to be able to do.
"You've grown so much," Emily said. She turned to Henry and smiled at him. "And also you too." Henry nodded, although he didn't feel too good as he hadn't done anything major.
"Thanks, Emily," Sam said. There was a shift in the air movement, and the three turned around to see Leon arriving on the roof in a flash of yellow light. He looked alright, with no sign of wound on him, though Emily was able to sense the cracks in his lifeforce. He had pushed himself too much, using more power than his body could spare. Emily felt worried for a moment.
"Looks like everything's been taken care of," Leon said. He glanced at Sam, a strange emotion was displayed in his eyes. "You did well, Sam."

Sam stood in the middle of the living room of her childhood. The home she had lived in with her Dad and Aunt Stella. This house that has been with the Mccoy family for generations, her aunt having inherited it from Sam's maternal grandparents. Now it was destroyed, half of the building was gone, like so many other homes in the neighborhood. She could barely recognize it, especially with the Golden Dawn agents pacing around, examining every corner of the place. After the town's purification, a couple of airships arrived in the city, the Golden Dawn's symbol on the aircraft signifying that they were allies. As soon as the Golden Dawn agents landed on the ground, they spread out to various areas of the town to search for any surviving humans, while the remaining began to extract the Infernal machines that had been left behind. They were the clean up teams. Sam glanced at Leon who was speaking to a hologram form of Emanu. She was still on the moon base, having informed the land-based team to expect the encroachment issue to be resolved soon. Now Leon was informing her of the things they had done.
"It's a good thing you guys were the ones who were sent here," Emanu said. "I doubt any available Guardians would have been able to handle two Greater rank Abominations,"
"It's too bad one of them got away," Leon said. The Abomination that Emily had fought had somehow escaped, leaving the town before Sam had cast her spell. From what Sam could infer from Leon's tone, an Infernal Devil being on the loose was very bad.
"The bastard used the opportunity that the Golden deer's arrival caused to escape," Emily said. Out of everyone after the battle, Emily was the only one who looked spent, her eyes looked like they had bags under them from lack of sleep. That Devil must be powerful. Sam thought. She felt guilty for leaving Emily to handle it herself.
"The Devil doesn't matter right now. We already have our team tracking it. We'll figure out its location soon enough. For now, we should focus on the fact that there's no trace of Rosa or Stella left behind." Emanu said. Sam straightened up. The Golden Dawn agents had searched for any signs of the original team that was supposed to keep an eye out for the town and they had found some remains that belonged to them, but so far, Rosa and Stella were not one of them.
"The enemy was expecting us to be here," Leon said. "I doubt they would leave them here,"
"Who is this enemy and why would they attack Cedar Lake," Sam said. Sam knew there was something they were not telling her. Something that had to do with her. First, she thought back to the incident that took her Father from her. And then there was the death of her therapist. And then there was the attack on her which was followed by this. Something was going on and Sam needed to know. "Does this have anything to do with Dr.Dingle or the assassins that came after me?" Leon, Emily, and Emanu glanced at each other, then turned to face Sam. Leon sighed as he thought about what to tell Sam.
"How much do you know about the current event in the mundane side of things," Leon asked. Sam blinked. What kind of question was that? To be honest, she could barely remember anything that was going on in the regular world. Things had turned crazy after finding her therapist dead.
"Are you saying the Pandemic happening in New York and the rest of the world has something to do with this," Henry said. Pandemic? Sam vividly remembers seeing something about an unknown virus in New York on the news. But it felt like such a long time ago and with the things that had happened to her, she had forgotten about it. Or more like she had forgotten that there was a regular world. The idea of learning more about the Arcane truth of the universe had taken over her mind. But the attack on her life had brought her back to focus on what was more important.
"Is that true?" Sam asked.
"Maybe," Leon said.
"Maybe-"
"We don't know," Leon said.
"So what do you know," Henry said.
"This is how much we know," Emanu said. There was a ping from Sam who took out her Zodiak from her Dimensional band on her wrist. She turned on her Zodiak to see the files that Emanu had sent to her. "Mother didn't want to worry you about what was going on in Terra. She wanted you to focus on your training." Sam read the files that Emanu had sent to her, walking around as she digested the intel. According to what she read, the same force that had sent the Abomination after me was also the one responsible for Dr. Dingle's death, and the attack on Cedar Lake.
"I...I don't get it. What do they want from me," Sam said.
"We don't know yet," Emanu said. "We're not sure if Sinutu and Anuntium attack on you has any correlation with this."
"Well, for whatever reason it seems my life is in danger," Sam said. That's just fucking great. Sam thought. Now that I wanted to live my life to it's fullest, it's threatened by some kind of otherworldly beings. "Well, what about the situation in New York. Is there some kind of correlation." Sam was not arrogant enough to think that the release of an unknown virus in New York or other major parts of the world would have anything to do with her. But with what happened to her hometown, and the city of New York that was a couple of miles away if one took, one could never be too careful.
"Don't worry about the pandemic in New York," Emanu said. "Golden Dawn's handling it. You should focus on tracking down Rosa and Stella. They're still alive which means the enemy wants to use them in some kind of way."
"Excuse me, Guardian Yesh, We found something," One of the Golden Dawn agent reported. The Agent led the five of them to the fireplace where a bunch of Agents were examining it. A circle of green light with runic inscriptions was manifested around the fireplace with an Agent using a wand to move the runes throughout the spell formula.
"What is it," Leon asked.
"It looks like this fireplace is some kind of an Exodus system," The Agent with the Wand said.
"An Exodus," Leon said. "Back in Agartha, most of the aristocrats were known for having an Exodus system planted within their estate. I assume it's the same with the Magical families of the Hidden world,"
"It is," Emanu said. She spared a glance at Sam before she continued on. "The Mccoy family was a vassal clan of one of the great families so it makes sense that their family home would have one." There was a tick of annoyance on Sam's forehead but she said nothing. She was long accustomed to the list of things about her family that she did not know. That was why she had to find Aunt Stella as quick as possible so she could give Sam some answers.
"According to our examination, it seems the Exodus was used before it was destroyed," The Golden Dawn Agent said.
"Can you get the last coordinates it was set to," Emily asked. "Stella might have escaped through it,"
"We have," The Agent said. "According to the data, it seems the last place the Exodus was set to was Bel' Yor."
"Bel' Yor," Sam said. "What the hell is a Bel' Yor?"
