Mr. President's Substitute Wife
Alejandro walked up the stairs, his jaw locked, his phone in his hand. He pushed the door open and walked into the house. His father had asked him to meet for tea at noon, which was why he left the company.
"Master Alejandro, your father is waiting in the study," the butler, Ralph, said, standing by the door, holding it aside.
Alejandro turned to look at the short man and nodded. "Mother?" he asked.
"Mrs. Holdings isn't home," Ralph replied. Alejandro hummed lightly and began to walk away. He paused, took a few steps, and turned back to look at Ralph.
"Bring me some of that wine, will you? Something tells me I will need it," he instructed, then walked up the stairs leading to the hallway and finally his father's study. As a child, he constantly played in the hall, resulting in quite a number of injuries.
Alejandro stopped at the door, knocked twice, and waited for his father.
"Come in."
