Chereads / SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS / Chapter 19 - 19 : The New Kent at School

Chapter 19 - 19 : The New Kent at School

Kent went directly to the underground floor of the school, where disciples take assessment tests.

He directly took out his disciple token, which is showing number 3 in glowing colour.

"Elder, I'm here for the class assessment." Kent directly placed his disciple token on the small wooden table before the old elder, who sat leisurely.

The elder observed the token for a second and shifted his gaze towards Kent. "Who are you? I don't recall ever seeing you at this school. B-But your name is a little familiar." The elder asked while caressing the etched name on the token.

"I'm the backlogger, Kent, who stuck in 3rd Magus class for the last three years." Kent replied in a dull tone.

"Oh… I know you. Sorry for my bad memory. Your looks have changed a lot." The elder spoke while staring at Kent's appearance.

"Elder, can you do the assessment now, or should I come back later?" Kent asked in a doubtful gaze as the elder seemed more leisurely.

"S-Stop hurrying me like a core disciple. I still doubt whether you can progress to 4th grade or not. You better not waste my time."

The elder replied with an awkward laugh and took out a glowing vertical white crystal, which has five compartments in it. Each compartment is marked with a different color.

"This is the primary magus assessment crystal. Try your luck." The elder replied as he placed Kent's disciple token at the base of the crystal.

Kent extended his hand and placed his middle finger at the top point of the vertical crystal. As he poured his aura into it, the compartment's color changed like a thermometer.

Soon, the entire crystal turned black. The elder stared at the crystal curiously, as he couldn't believe the result before him.

"How did he do it? He has been backlogging for the past three years. How can he progress two classes at a time?" The elder muttered while staring at the crystal.

"Elder, is my assessment finished?" Kent asked with a smile, as the result showed that he had crossed the primary magus stage.

"Wait, there seems to be a malfunction in this crystal. Let me change it." The elder took out another vertical crystal to assess Kent's level.

Without another thought, Kent placed his finger and poured his aura. Soon, it turned black completely.

Even though Elder couldn't believe the result, he can't deny the assessment. "Do you really complete the primary Magus circle in your body?" The elder asked with a doubtful gaze.

"Elder, if you are not satisfied, you can test me a hundred times. But stop looking at me like that." Kent said it irritatingly.

The elder realized that he had gone too far. He immediately passed the disciple token to Kent, which is now glowing yellow with the number six on it. (He finished the fifth, so he is placed in sixth-grade magus.)

After receiving the token, Kent left the underground room. The elder's gaze lingered on Kent for a long time as he felt something was not right. The question of how Kent progressed in two classes really irked him.

"Three months ago, I did a yearly assessment for him. At that time he is only a 3rd-class magus. But how did he progress two classes so fast?" The elder muttered, thinking deeply about Kent.

After coming out of the underground room, Kent walked towards the Disciple Forum stand, which is near the competition arena.

While walking towards the competition arena, he passed through the 3rd grade Magus room, where Thea is teaching potions to disciples.

"Is he Kent?" Someone muttered while pointing at the windows. Every one's gaze turned towards the open doors and windows to see the reason for the sudden surprise tone.

Even Thea stopped her lecture and gazed at Kent, as she was worried about him. But her eyes went wide open after seeing Kent walking leisurely outside his class.

For a second, she thought, He is not Kent. But after facing Kent, who was walking away while staring at her, Thea's mind struck him.

"He-he is Kent." Thea muttered in disbelief. The old spell book in her hands fell to the ground as she stared at Kent's leaving back with a wide, open mouth.

But most of the disciples didn't see Kent clearly as he passed on a whim. "What happened to your eyes? He is the new young master posted in the forums. Do you think Kent can wear such rich clothes?" A disciple directly patted the guy who shouted at first.

"Hahaha… he seems very similar to Kent." The first guy replied with an awkward smile.

Mona and Ric, who used to belittle Kent, stared at each other for a long time. "Do you believe me now? I really saw Kent in the Moonlight Hotel. Now he changed his clothes and looks." Ric, who saw Kent the other night at the Moonlight Hotel, spoke in a serious tone.

"Hey, I'm damn sure that he is not Kent. If you want to prove me, we will find Kent after school and follow him." Mona said it in a dismissive tone.

"Yeah, let's find Kent tonight." Ric sighed and agreed to her proposal.

Thea, who got out of shock, hurriedly picked up the spell book and began narrating the lecture. But all her thoughts kept flooding towards Kent.

As Kent approached the competition arena, he heard the loud noise of girls who were shouting in a rhythmic tone.

The competition arena is the size of a basketball court and is surrounded by seats of different heights. (Like a modern-day soccer stadium.).

A group of more than 15 girls were practicing cheerleading inside the arena. At the edge of the ground, a fat, round-bellied, middle-aged lady with the tag 'Arena master' sat before a table with a serious face. She is guiding these girls on cheer-leading moves.

Just as Kent opened the entrance gate of the arena and stepped inside, the girls who were practicing flashy moves came to a sudden stop.

"What happened?!" The Arena master turned her head to see where the girls were looking. Her gaze lingered on Kent for a long time as she felt drawn to Kent's appearance.

"Why did he look like Kent?!!" Luna, who is in the cheerleading group, stared at Kent's face with a doubtful gaze.

"Do you know him?" One of the senior girls asked her with a lite pat.

"I-I think so. but the person I know is very poor." Luna replied in a stuttering gaze as he stared at Kent.
