Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: A Gilded Cage

Strange Bedroom, Unknown Location, Unknown State...

Brown eyes opened to find a bright room far removed from the dark confines of the apparent basement dwelling where a groggy Olivia Gainsborough had awoken once before after being kidnapped by the brute who had murdered her family. She found that her body had not been as soiled and pained as it had once been and there was even an air of softness that seemed to have come from out of nowhere. A bit of blinking to knock off the lingering wave of dizziness had been in order as she began to make sense of her surroundings once she'd opened her eyes again this time with purpose. She found herself in some kind of elegantly designed bedroom. The soft bedding and pillows had been a welcome change from the cold hard ground shrouded in darkness. She found that the bedroom had a large window and a good deal of sunlight had been flooding it. She had longed for fresh clean air ever since she'd been snatched out of the trunk of the brute's car.

There had been no sign of the murderous brute, at least not for the time being but she had taken note that her body had been thoroughly cleaned, despite the comforts and cleansing doing wonders for her in the moment, the horror of imagining the cold-blooded brute having been the one to bathe her with his bloodied and cruel hands having been all over her body made her quite ill. She felt her stomach churn at the thought and did her best to push it away only for it to return once she heard the unseemly rattling of the faraway door knob.

The strangely designed golden handle shifted and in walked the brute, he'd been half naked as before but subsequently more clean as he moved swiftly toward the bed his large right hand already at Olivia's waiting neck before she could utter a sound.

She fought the urge to whimper as his grip tightened about her neck and she found herself getting a good look at the face of the man that murdered her entire family in the clear light of day. She had not known why he'd so boldly show himself to her, the chances of her picking him out of a lineup had been quite good given his strangely handsome and ruggedly distinct features. He had not looked the part of a monster aside from his jet-black hair that had hung just shy of touching his pale broad shoulders.

His teeth were clenched as if he'd been attempting to restrain himself from something or put in a bit of effort and she could see up close that they had been pristine white and sharp, sharper than the teeth she'd seen on any other human being as if they'd been sharpened and ground into fine points. His bare and equally pale chest once more came into her view, a massive torso of tight and well-defined muscle right down to his abnormal number of abs and fine muscles about his stomach and waistline. There had been a good deal of scars that lined his body amid the hard muscle, some old and some new but they'd been distinguished scars all the same. Up close, she could tell that he had powerful legs, was also well toned with thick muscle, and was very advantageous as far as his towering height had been concerned.

The brute was built like a human tank if Olivia had been honest and it both fascinated and terrified her. There would be no way for her to outrun him should she give chase, she had calculated her own ability to move properly if the need arose for a hasty exit attempt, and in her weakened state she knew she stood no chance at all of pulling it off without fail.

He smelled clean at least as he dented the mattress below her with his heavy knees around her lean body his firm hand still at her throat as he stared down into her eyes. She had attempted to squirm beneath him which only seemed to make him smirk rather wickedly before he turned his attention to ensuring her wrist bonds had been sturdy enough before glaring into her eyes as if searching for more fear and loathing to feed off of before he'd released her and headed back out the bedroom door.

Olivia watched him go, unable to make her body move as he retreated out the bedroom door locking it behind him. She finally took a deep breath when she heard his heavy steps die away and attempted to compose herself from the horror of his presence. As she recoiled in disgust at the memory of him being so close to her, she took note of her wrist bonds having been loosened. She arched a brow at this and slowly moved her hands daring to hope even if it had been for a mere second before she finally moved her wrists and the lingering bonds broke causing her to be freed, at least as far as having been chained to the bed had been concerned.

There had not been a chain on her legs and nothing else to tie her to the bed as instinct and panic both bottled up inside her and she ran toward the window only to find that it had been sealed shut aside from sunrays amid the paint and the door had still been locked from the other side.

Of course, the brute had put her in a guided cage.

It was a touch better than being trapped down in the basement and she'd been able to enjoy the light as opposed to complete darkness until he brought her food and water or another needled to plunge more drugs into her system.

Olivia rolled her eyes as the image of the brute's hands moving along her body made her sick to her stomach again and bred a newfound desperation and impulse to find some way to escape before he returned. She scrambled quickly across the bedroom finding no route to end her suffering and ensure her freedom.

Panic filled her as she rushed toward the same door where the brute had exited and managed to get it to pop open only for the brute to be standing on the other side with a sly grin filed across his rugged face before he gripped her about the neck and pushed her onto the floor where she landed back first.

His eyes had been much different than they had been when she first took note of them while chained to the bed. An eerie green glow had been all she saw in the wake of her terror as he quickly closed the distance after she'd fallen onto her back hitting her head on the hardwood before he'd been on top of her, she struggled rather valiantly before he produced the hand he'd been hiding behind his back with the all too familiar syringe that contained the same supposed drugs as before.

"NO!" shouted Olivia as she continued to struggle against the brute's strength despite him pinning her to the floor with relative ease.

"The more you struggle the more fun it is for me," he warned her once more as his eyes widened with giddy splendor before he plunged the needle into her arm and injected her rather swiftly with the concoction.

She grew limp beneath him and he got back to his feet and lifted her off the floor before tossing her back onto the bed not caring if she'd bashed her head on the headboard or not before turning and heading back out the bedroom door before locking it tight.

The world around Olivia once more began to fade a single hot tear cascaded down her supple pale cheek and she found herself given to the images of being back at home with her family very much alive as the drugs began to take hold and her mind started to wander.
