Chapter 17 - Rage and Resilience

Filled with an immeasurable rage, Nife couldn't bear the mocking smile the giant humanoid monster threw at him. An indomitable fury seized him as he rushed forward, hurling himself with fierce determination against the beast standing before him.

With astonishing agility, he dodged every deadly blow the monster attempted to strike him with, dancing with warrior-like grace.

But Nife knew he couldn't rely solely on these skillful dodges.

His gaze then lifted to the sky, determined to put an end to this struggle.

He raised his hands towards the firmament, condensing the energy around him.

He focused all his energy, fueling his growing anger, feeding off every failure and pain inflicted by the monster.

He had come to the same conclusion as Harold.

This monster had an absurd regeneration ratio, but time remained a variable in the process. So, what would happen if this monster were to endure an attack that didn't allow it time to regenerate?

Defeat! No matter its exaggerated ability, if time were lacking in the process, then it was over.

And Nife, with the spell he was preparing, intended to finish it.

However, as he accumulated this devastating energy, the monster suddenly lunged towards him, forcing him to interrupt his process.

In a sigh of frustration, he complained aloud. "Damn it, what are those officers supposed to be doing to help us?! Damn it! Interfere!"

His voice resonated with a hint of anger. He felt betrayed by their absence.

But as he voiced his discontent aloud, as if in response to his call, the female officer reappeared, emerging from a whirlwind of light.

In a spectacular movement, she transmuted the ground, which rose up, holding the beast in place, impaling it with several steel stakes.

She then turned to Nife, casting him a cold glance.

"I'll hold it while you charge up. You better strike hard!"

A smile crept onto Nife's lips, focusing intensely to tap into the deepest reserves of his energy.

He felt his power growing, the flow of energy multiplying within him.

Sparks crackled around him, illuminating the surrounding darkness.

He felt his body vibrating intensely, an unprecedented energy coursing through him from head to toe.

He knew he had to aim high, that he couldn't settle for just a few sparks. He had to unleash all the power he was capable of, to annihilate this creature and erase its existence irreversibly.

As the world suddenly seemed to calm around him, he drew upon this new frenzy, preparing to unleash a force so powerful that it would obliterate the very existence of the monster.

The female officer struggled with determination to hold the giant humanoid monster, her hands tightly gripping the bonds attempting to restrain it.

Her muscles tensed under the strain, her eyes fixed on the massive creature thrashing about in a wild rage.

The monster growled and thrashed fiercely, seeking to escape the grip of the brave woman.

Its bonds slowly but inexorably gave way under the brute force of the beast.

However, the woman refused to be intimidated.

She redoubled her efforts, pushing back the monster with all her might, transmuting everything around her to harm and further imprison it, striking the creature and smashing it in a destructive symphony.

But despite her bravery and tireless determination, the energy of the female officer finally reached its limits.

The monster seized this moment of weakness, freeing itself from her grasp and ruthlessly crushing the ferocity that had confronted it with such tenacity.

A cry of distress escaped the woman's mouth, her eyes filled with pain and resolution as she desperately looked at Nife.

Her voice echoed in the adrenaline-charged air. "It's time, Mr. Pants ! Are you going to aim or not?!"

At these words, Nife felt a surge of energy gather within him.

Sparks of energy danced at his fingertips, forming an imposing ball of luminous energy above his hands stretched towards the sky.

His face lit up with a fiery glow of assurance.

"You disrespectful brat! My name is Nife, not Mr. Pants!" He shouted at the woman.

Although his words were harsh, the woman understood they were hidden thanks.

She discreetly smiled, rather touched.

Turning his gaze towards the monster, Nife's features hardened with unwavering determination.

He had accumulated enough energy, and the luminous ball pulsed with imminent power.

"It's time to end this," he murmured with a voice full of assurance.

Seeing the ball of energy in Nife's hands, the giant humanoid monster sensed the impending threat.

'This can harm me,' he thought.

With surprising agility for its gigantic size, it lunged towards the man, determined to stop him before he could unleash his devastating attack.

However, Nife displayed a confident smile. He knew the monster wouldn't reach him in time.

As he prepared his forces to launch the energy ball, he saw the monster suddenly extending its hand towards him.

A moment of incomprehension passed through his mind as he interpreted this gesture as a desperate effort from the titanic creature.

Internally, he scoffed at the idea that the monster could reach him before he launched his ultimate attack.

But as he was about to unleash all his power, the improbable happened.

A wave of raw energy burst forth from the monster's outstretched hand and struck Nife forcefully.

His smile froze, replaced by an expression of surprise and horror.

The forces animating the energy ball suddenly slipped from his control.

Like a shooting star, the energy ball dissipated into the air, leaving only a sparkling trail in its wake.

In a whirlwind of chaos, propelled by the monster's devastating energy wave, Nife was thrown a dizzying distance into the air. He struggled helplessly, overwhelmed by this unstoppable power that consumed him.

All his senses were drowned in a whirlwind of blinding intensity.

Against all expectations, the giant humanoid monster mastered the ether, just like them from the beginning!

Another Scene

In the tangled and chaotic streets of a once peaceful urban city, screams of horror mingled with the howls of humanoid monsters.

The city, once lively and bustling with life, was now plunged into indescribable chaos.

The invasion of humanoid monsters had swept in from the east, turning the once peaceful streets into a terrifying battlefield.

The cries of terror echoed in the air, mixed with the clatter of weapons and the bestial roars of the bloodthirsty creatures.

The ambulance and security forces were bustling like ants in motion, evacuating the population from high-risk areas.

Sirens blared, their piercing wails attesting to the seriousness of the situation.

Frightened families, their faces marked by terror, desperately sought refuge, fleeing this imminent threat.

But despite all efforts, the law enforcement agencies were overwhelmed by the power of the humanoid monsters.

The grotesque and deformed humanoid monsters spread terror in every corner of the city.

Their misshapen bodies, assemblies of bones and putrefied flesh, were imbued with innate violence.

The contorted limbs moved with macabre agility, while their hideous faces expressed an insatiable thirst for blood.

They ran through the streets, breaking everything in their path. Cars were overturned, buildings were gutted, and shop windows were smashed, turning the urban landscape into a veritable apocalyptic battlefield.

Their sharp claws shredded everything they touched, and their relentless ferocity seemed to emanate from their bloodshot eyes.

The piercing cries of the victims added an even more oppressive atmosphere to this nightmarish spectacle.

The alleys were stained with the blood of the innocent, leaving red streaks staining the cobblestone ground.

Tattered scraps of clothing and debris littered the sidewalks, silent witnesses to the chaos that had engulfed the city.

However, amidst this apocalyptic disorder, groups of individuals with superhuman abilities emerged from the shadows, ready to confront these devastating creatures.

Their incredible powers made them almost supernatural, and their determination to annihilate the threat was palpable.

Like sentinels, they seemed to exude an aura of inner strength that made their opponents tremble.

Shouts could be heard.

"The wardens are here! We are saved!"
