Vlad landed above the domain's magic circle, which felt like walking over glass. Then, after he felt he was ready, he touched the magic circle with his hands, infusing Arcana, Blood Energy, and his Blood Ki into it.
Yes, Blood Ki was produced from his newest Skills, allowing him to amass even more power for this giant domain! He had to make it even stronger to exorcize such a huge monster.
"Insecta, get out of the way! We're ready!"
He noticed Insecta still fighting the tentacles, so he quickly told her to leave.
Although he was a bit harsh with his words, she didn't care about that and obeyed.
"Yes, master!"
She quickly flew away with her wings. As this happened, the possessed goblin glared at Vlad with anger. Her eyes had already become completely green and crystallized, resembling emeralds.
"GRAAAHHH!"
She screamed furiously, her entire body suddenly becoming completely encompassed by emerald jewels, the armor growing uncontrollably, growing giant tentacles made of such emeralds, at the same time as slimy tentacles combined with them.
She tried to attack Vlad, although his magic circle defended him, being struck constantly as a result, but that held on rather well as it was being reinforced by the power of the dormant, and now awakened, Leylines.
"Now!"
FLAAAASH!
The domain was activated fully, as Vlad touched the magic circle and released its powers while activating another Skill he was saving until this very moment.
"{Magnetism Manipulation}!"
By channeling the Skill into the Domain, it became much stronger; powerful magnetic power started pulling out the emerald in large chunks.
"GRUUUAAAGGH!"
The goblin girl screamed in agony as her monstrous form started to rapidly become smaller, her crystal armor beginning to shatter apart and then completely disappear, getting stuck into the magic circle instead.
It seemed this wasn't a normal emerald, probably made of more metal than actual crystals; the magnetic power worked on it wonderfully.
It was a gamble, but one that worked in the end.
"GRRRHHH…!"
And yet the girl wasn't letting go of her emerald sword, which she furiously swung against Vlad, trying to destroy the magic circle.
"It won't work."
He quickly waved his hand, as giant arms made out of mud emerged, manipulating the dirt. Without even having to touch it through a combination of Earth Spells and Geomancy, Vlad kept the goblin girl still by wrapping arms made of mud around her body.
"GRAAAHH! GRAARRGH!"
She kept roaring angrily, the sword making him go insane, until Vlad forcefully infused all his power; the sword ultimately gained cracks…
Crack, crack…!
And a malevolent, green-colored, and ghostly energy came out from it… Although the powerful armor was also possessing her, it was the sword that held the greatest power.
[The {Maiden of the Emerald Sea} expresses her love for you!]
The green ghostly aura constantly tried to reach Vlad, attempting to break through the magic circle trapping her within it.
"Enough!"
Vlad closed his hands, forcing more and more of his Arcana into the Domain, keeping it stable.
Hundreds of crimson bolts constantly gathered around the sword, giving it more cracks.
Crack, crack…!
The ghostly specter of green gases constantly made sad expressions, roaring angrily and hitting the magic circle more and more.
[The {Maiden of the Emerald Sea} is very sad! She says she wants to be with you forever.]
[Would you let her devour you, so you two can become one forever?]
"Leave."
He didn't give in to her temptations; Vlad quickly gathered the powers he had harnessed and then formed a huge arrow of red lightning.
CRAAASH!
Using it to pierce the sword, it quickly shattered into pieces.
"GRYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
And a loud, womanly, and yet monstrous scream echoed through the entire forest.
It wasn't even coming from the goblin girl, but the sword itself.
[The {Maiden of the Emerald Sea} is so sad! So very sad!]
[She wants you all for herself and swears she will one day gobble you up.]
["Until then, take care~!"]
Until finally, her presence seemed to disappear, the ghostly figure stopped moving and then became empty air, without even properly dissipating.
It was bizarre.
[The {Maiden of the Emerald Sea} presence has disappeared.]
"Haaahh… Seriously, this was so stupid," Vlad sighed in relief. "I can't believe I would say this, but I prefer the shadow guy instead; at least he talked in a funny way."
He felt rather disgusted and embarrassed to realize this Outer One seemed to have a crush on him or something… It was completely nonsensical the more he thought about it.
That thing had only seen him once and somehow wanted him all for herself.
The Outer Ones were sure strange, and their weird fixation for him might've started as just an accident through the Unending Crimson's invasion.
But it ended on a slight obsession from their part…
"If the promotional art of the game is something to note, they're supposed to be these big endgame bosses that you fight in outer space… Why are they showing up so early? Did we do something wrong and trigger this to happen earlier?"
After finally having met all three of them, Vlad couldn't help but think about their status as bosses of the game, Fantasy Story Online, and more.
But there seemed to be a fourth, a hidden Outer One that his sister not only found but even befriended!
"The Hollowed…"
He was the strangest of the four, with no apparent goal or proper personality; it was only using Camilla as a medium to move through the Mortal Plane and see it through her eyes.
At the same time, she seems immune to the insanity he causes in its avatars, making her the perfect vessel.
"Whatever role it will take in the future of this game's story… It will be very important."
Although he was tired and wanted to just log out now, there was someone that still needed a bit of help; he walked towards her, finding her unconscious over the black grass.
"She has a cute face for a goblin… Wait, she is a Player?!"
Vlad realized rather late what she truly was.
"Ugh… Wha… who?"
She slowly opened her eyes, and then widened them the moment she realized she was in the arms of a handsome vampire.
"W-What the hell, dude?!"
And jumped right off his arms, while bonking his head at that!
"Hey! I just saved your damn life…!"
