Within the western outskirts of the dark forest, hundreds of humanoids and green-skinned barbarians moved everywhere, setting up a huge camp full of armed warriors. Scouts began leaping into the forest and scouting the areas, looking at Elderbridge from a safe distance.

They were looking from afar, but always making sure not to get too close to this area, they were preparing, moving provisions, weapons, armor, and materials to continue building camps, walls, and other things.

More of their group kept coming in and out of the forest and the surrounding dark plains, the moon shining brightly above the night sky barely illuminating their pale green skin, and their leader, gigantic and muscular, wearing bone armor, looking into the distance with a strict and serious glare.

A small goblin walked to the side of his gigantic body, looking at him pitifully. The goblin was actually female, looking slightly more beautiful than the rest; she wore silver armor and had a huge sword at her back; her expression was quite more serious than the rest as well; and she was much smarter.

"Boss Gordllion, the camp is mostly all set; a fortress shall be built here in the following day as you've ordered." She said it with a serious expression. "Are we really doing this to go against Elderbridge in the future? They have several powerful allies and even a dragon.

"Hmmm…" Gordllion remained in silence as he glanced into the distance. "Stay out of Elderbridge's way. We're only here to set up the camps. We are merely one of the many that have done it already. This invasion has been planned for a while now; we cannot hope to disappoint our client, alright? We're mercenaries after all, Gofumina; you as a player should know these things quite well; you joined for the money, so you have to work hard. Even if the request is ridiculous, we have to do our best to carry it out."

"Y-Yes, boss!" Gofumina nodded, a bit intimidated by Gordllion's immense size compared to hers. As some wind gusts waved her short white hair, she glanced back at the boss with her golden eyes. "But I still have to ask… Is this really okay? Won't the Silver Moon Duchy just get some kind of terrifying retaliation? It's not as if they're in the best conditions… I agree that money is money, but if we charge recklessly, many could die. "Haah… I suppose you're not wrong, sir…" sighed Gofumina, her entire Player Background and appearance were decided by her, but she never expected that the Goblin Race would have it as tough. "Recently we heard from scouts that someone entered the forest; they said they were potential adventurers. A knight with armor from head to toe, some sort of incubus, and a white-skinned blood or moon elf… Ah, there was also a dhampir girl."

"They come from Elderbridge?" wondered Gordllion. "Hmm, it could be an Adventurer Party. But if they find out about this and go back, it could prove to be troublesome."

"I was thinking the same…" Gofumina nodded. "What do you suggest we should do, boss?"

"We are no bandits or thieves here, even less barbarians… So just killing them and robbing them doesn't sit well with me," sighed Gordllion. "Maybe intimidate them if they get too close? Beat them down and send them back home."

"Won't this trigger an extermination group to come after us assuming we're bandits?" Gofumina asked. "I know it's harsh but eliminating them would be the best way of doing things."

"What if one of them is a Player then? They'll come back and spill the beans anyway," sighed Gordllion. "Oh, I think I got an idea…"

"Idea?" wondered Gofumina, as she noticed her boss taking out a large bag full of special green-colored, very aromatic herbs. "Good thing I got myself some Frenzy Herbs, these make Monsters go crazy. Use the monsters of the forest against them. Predict the route where they're going by analyzing them from very far away, then place these around the area where they're moving. They'll be ambushed by hundreds of monsters and die or survive and just escape. Nice, isn't it?"

"Oooh! Boss, you might be a genius!" Gofumina was surprised, her eyes sparkling, as she stole the bag from the old Hobgoblin's hands.

"Ah! W-Wait! Gofumina! Don't use it all; that herb's super expensive, you know?!" Gordllion screamed from afar.

"I know, boss! I got this!" Gofumina jumped into action.

"Haahh… If this girl wasn't so good with the sword and couldn't revive endlessly, I really wouldn't even recruit her here… She's too reckless and eager to do stuff," groaned Gordllion. "Oi! Where's my tea at?"

"R-Right away, boss!" A goblin went running to the kitchen area.

Gofumina ran through the large camp, finding the scouting group.

"Guys, the boss gave us a mission! Anyone confident in their scouting skills, come with me, and I'll explain it to you on the way there."

"Me! Gofumina! Me!"

"No! Me! Choose me!"

"I can do this job; I'm stealthy!"

"I used to be a rogue."

"So what? I was a member of the Thief Guild of Elderbridge at some point! Before it got purged from criminals, that's it…"

"Okay, okay, I can only pick like three at most, so calm down and let me see."

Several Goblins offered their help, so she ended up choosing the ones that looked the strongest. The former Rogue, the Thief Guild former member, and lastly, another female goblin, a bit older than her, but that had a slender body, and the Scouting Hunter Class.

"Alright boys and girls, let's go!" Gofumina smiled, grabbing her large sword's hilt. "We're earning our bread today!"
