Two years had passed since the birth of our twins, Seraphina and Aeliana, and life in the castle had settled into a chaotic, joyful rhythm. Every day brought new challenges and endless laughter, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner than Zephara to navigate this journey with.
This particular morning started like any other: with a chorus of baby giggles and the soft pitter-patter of tiny feet. Zephara and I were woken up by the sound of Seraphina's determined babbling, followed closely by Aeliana's delighted squeals. I groaned, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, while Zephara stretched beside me, a sleepy smile on her lips.
"I think the little terrors are up," Zephara said, her voice thick with sleep.
I chuckled, rolling out of bed. "Sounds like it. Let's go rescue the maids."
