I woke up before the sun had fully risen, the excitement and nerves of the day pulling me from sleep. Carefully, I slipped out of bed, not wanting to wake Leora. She needed her rest after everything we had been through. Today was our wedding day, and everything had to be perfect.
Tiptoeing out of the room, I closed the door softly behind me and let out a deep breath. As soon as I stepped into the hallway, I was met by my sisters, who were already up and buzzing with energy.
"There she is, the bride-to-be!" my eldest sister exclaimed, throwing her arms around me in a dramatic hug. "Ready for the big day?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said with a nervous chuckle. "Let's get this show on the road."
