I woke up to the sound of bustling activity and sunlight streaming through the curtains. My eyes felt heavy, and I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head. It was too early. Why did it have to be so early?
"Leora, darling, it's time to get up!" I heard a familiar voice chirp.
"No, go away," I mumbled, burrowing deeper into the bed.
"Now, now, none of that," the voice insisted. I felt a tug at the blanket, and before I could protest, it was yanked away, leaving me exposed to the bright morning light.
"Sexy Grandma, please," I whined, squinting up at her.
She stood at the foot of my bed, hands on her hips, looking every bit the fierce, stylish woman she always was. "It's your wedding day, dear. You can't stay in bed all day."
I sighed and sat up, rubbing my eyes. "Alright, alright. I'm up."
"Good," she said, clapping her hands. "We have a lot to do, and not much time."
