"I'm missing you," Chloe pouted her ruby-red lips, moving in closer to lean her voluptuous body against mine, but she was stopped by a short female shooting daggers from her eyes. This was getting interesting.
"Excuse me," Leora cleared her throat and slid in place next to me, her arm wrapped around mine. She held out her hand with the bracelet on it. "I'm Leora, Zephara's futur wife. And you are?"
I bit back a smile at the jealousy raging through Leora. Leora was usually calm, but apparently the mating bond was giving her not only confidence but boldness as well.
"I'm Chloe. I'm a good friend of your 'futur wife'," Chloe gifted her a conniving smile and shook Leora's hand. She glanced over at me, not hiding any of her desires in her eyes. "We know each other very well. I'm sure she's spoken of me."
"Not a once. Why would I do that?" I seethed, trying to push my anger down. How dare Chloe come and try to insert herself where she had no business.
