"She will get better with more rest, but there is nothing wrong with her" Lora murmured.
I stared at the elder demon as if she had grown two heads.
"What do you mean there's nothing wrong with her?" I knocked back the rest of my blood and swallowed the thick, warm liquid. I set my goblet down on the table and strode toward the bed.
A guard had done as promised and sent up blood for me and food for Leora. She had passed out this morning and had yet to waken. Her food was resting on a tray on the table.
"Don't use that tone of voice with me, Zephaea." Lora stood from the bed with a small smile gracing her lips.
She was an elder, close to the same age as sexy grandma. She had been one of the healers first assigned to the royal house before coming to work for me.
Lora was a powerful demon. Her hair was fiery blue and flowed down her back in waves. She had bright-blue eyes, and her skin was pale and flawless.
