I looked at the dragon and the demon, and I saw their forms. The dragon was a beautiful woman with long red hair and green eyes. She wore a simple dress of white silk, and she had a necklace of firefruits around her neck.
She looked elegant and graceful, but also fierce and defiant. She held a sheet in her hand, and she used it as a shield against the demon's attacks.
The demon was a man with dark skin and horns. He wore a black armor that covered his body, and he had a sword in his hand. He looked cruel and ruthless, and he had a scar on his face. He was with some other demon who looked as strong.
I saw the sword on the floor, and I had an idea. I decided to help Sveltania, and I grabbed the sword. I ran towards the demon, and I swung the sword at him. He was surprised by my attack, and he tried to block it.
But I was faster and stronger, and I managed to cut his arm. He screamed in pain, and he dropped his sword. I kicked him in the chest, and he fell to the ground.
" Don't you dare touch our captain." said one of the four demons who came to me with their sword.
I faced the four demons who wanted to avenge their leader. They looked angry and determined, but I was not afraid. I had the sword in my hand, and I felt a surge of power. I knew I was stronger than them, and I was ready to fight.
The first demon charged at me, swinging his sword wildly. I dodged his attack, and I slashed his leg. He fell to the floor, bleeding and groaning. The second demon tried to stab me from behind, but I sensed his move.
I turned around, and I parried his sword. I kicked him in the face, and he stumbled back. The third demon came at me from the side, but I blocked his sword with mine. I pushed him away, and I stabbed him in the chest.
He gasped, and he collapsed. He was the third demon to fall by my blade. The fourth demon was the last one standing. He looked scared and hesitant, but he still tried to fight me. He swung his sword at me, but I easily dodged it. I smiled, and I taunted him.
"Is that all you got? You are no match for me. You are weak and pathetic. You should surrender now, or I will kill you."
The demon growled, and he lunged at me. I waited for the right moment, and I sliced his throat. He choked, and he fell to the ground. He was dead.
I had defeated the four demons, and I had saved this dragon woman. I turned to the captain who I had made sure to keep alive.
"Get out of here, you filthy demon. Leave this poor dragon, or I'll kill you. Go back to your demon queen. Go on, get out of here, before I change my mind." I said, as I glared at him.
The demon looked at me with fear and hatred, and he nodded. He got up, and he ran away. He didn't dare to look back.
"Thank you, human, for your help, you really saved my bacon," said the dragoness, giving me a big hug. She was grateful and relieved. She had thought she was going to die.
"I can't breathe," I say under the dragoness's strong arms. She was squeezing me too hard.
"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. As a thank you you can choose any sheet you like, I'll give it to you for free." she said before pushing me towards the sheets. She wanted to show her appreciation and generosity. She had a lot of sheets to sell.
I looked at the sheets that the dragoness had displayed on her bed. They were all beautiful and colorful, like a rainbow. I had a hard time choosing one. They all looked so soft and cozy, like they could wrap me in a warm hug.
"Which one do you like?" the dragoness asked me. She smiled and tilted her head, her golden eyes sparkling.
"I don't know, they are all so nice. How do you make them?" I asked her. I was curious about her craft. She seemed to have a talent for weaving, as well as magic.
"I use my magic to weave them from the finest materials. They are durable and comfortable. They can keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They can also change color according to your mood." she explained. She was proud of her work, and rightly so. She touched one of the sheets, and it changed from pink to purple.
"Wow, that's amazing. How do you do that?" I asked her. I was impressed by her skill. I had never seen anything like it before.
"It's a secret. Only dragons know how to do it. It's part of our culture and heritage." she said. She winked and nudged me with her snout. She was playful and friendly, unlike the other dragons at the castle who keep looking at me like a monster.
"I see. Well, I appreciate your gift. But I can't choose just one. They are all so lovely." I said. I felt bad for being indecisive. I didn't want to offend her, or seem ungrateful.
"Don't worry, human. I like you. You are brave and kind. You can have three sheets. One for each season. And one for special occasions." she said. She picked three sheets and handed them to me. They were blue, green, and purple. They shimmered in the light, like jewels.
"Thank you, dragoness. You are very generous. Sveltania, right?" I asked her. I wanted to know more about her. She had a name, and a personality. She was more than just a dragon.
"Yes, and you are?" she asked me. She looked at me with interest. She seemed to like me too, for some reason.
"My name is Leora. It's nice to meet you, Sveltania." I said. I smiled, feeling a connection with her. Being friends with a dragon could actually be great.
"It's nice to meet you too, Leora. You are welcome to visit me anytime. Maybe we can be friends." she said. She wrapped her tail around me, and gave me a gentle squeeze.
"Maybe we can. I would like that." I said, staring at the demon corpse on the floor. It was a reminder of the danger we faced in this world.
"Don't worry about that." said Sveltania, before using her fire magic to burn the demon corpse into ashes. She made sure there was no trace left of the evil creature.
"Goodbye." I said, before leaving.
I was soon reunited with Tom, who was waiting for me in the carriage.
"So you found everything on the list," he asked and I couldn't help smiling.
"Yes, let's go now," I said as I climbed into the carriage.
This little outing in the market had been pretty good and I'd been able to meet some people, I just hope that the fact of having beaten up some demons won't do me any harm.
