Chapter 7 - Chapter-7

Pain shot through his hands as the impact reverberated through his arms, but Weifeng gritted his teeth and pushed through the discomfort, his focus unwavering as he adjusted his position to land safely on the vertical surface.

For a fleeting moment, he stood suspended against the skyline, a lone figure defying gravity with nothing but sheer determination and a pair of battered swords. Then, with a powerful spring in his step, he launched himself once more into the void, his body a blur of motion as he bounded from one building to the next.

The rush of wind whipped past his face as he hurtled through the urban landscape, his muscles burning with exertion as he raced towards the safety of the rift border. With each bounding leap, he drew closer to his goal, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he pushed himself to the limit.

Because of the tier 3 strength, it didn't take him long to reach the rift border as he felt the power leave him.

"Heh, it ran out just in time"

With heavy breaths he said as he felt tired and didn't want to move a muscle.

Hearing howls of wolves. he quickly took out the talisman from his inventory and then went through the bubble. As he emerged on the other side of the rift, he collapsed to his knees, his body trembling with exhaustion and he lost his consciousness.

__ __ __

As he opened his eyes, he could see a blue sky as he glanced at everything around him. He looked down to see that the place he was standing on was not solid ground. It was a transparent sea as it made ripples as Weifeng stood up. The sea was not unlimited as it could rather be called a pond as it was the length of a pond.

Weifeng sighed as he stood up. He had been here many times before. This was his mental sea, well rather it should be called a pond since the size of it was underwhelming to be referred as a sea for now. He had heard that normal people of his age didn't have this large of a mental sea. Of course he didn't know about the geniuses. He looked down at the transparent sea to see a core which was his dantian. and there were circular wormholes in the space which the dantian was in but were blocked by a reddish round blob. This was for everyone before they had awakened as it like a wisdom teeth, it was similar and would get destroyed as it would release potential and allow for the flow from the dantian and make children be able to start cultivating as if it was destroyed early not naturally, the dantian would not be strong enough to hold on to the raw mana and will get destroyed. But it would only be destroyed when the dantian was strong enough but for him, he could feel that his dantian was already strong enough but the reddish blob didn't get destroyed.

But for him even though time had passed after his coming of age, there seems to be no chance of the blob breaking as it held strong. But this time was different as he saw some reddish light coming out from cracks on the blob.

He looked at it intently as it started to crack even more and then suddenly stopped. He sighed as he didn't feel good but then a bright red glow started to appear as the blob shined and then with a boom, it got destroyed as the flesh fell everywhere and the wormholes and space started to have movements which could even be seen with the naked eye for how strong it was. The air seemed to be moving but it was rather mana that was moving as it rapidly filled the space of the dantian.

He waited once more and soon the dantian which was a red ball started to shine with a blue light and dimmed and then shined once more but as it blinked, it reached to almost reached to emitting blue light without blinking but then it dimmed.

For seconds, minutes Weifeng waited as another light started to shine from the dantian. A purplish light and then it blinked to a blue, from purple to blue it blinked one side and then another as if it was fighting and then the dantian dimmed again and when it shined again, it didn't blink but the cyan light started to shine brighter and brighter till he had to close his eyes.

As he opened his eyes, he could see a white ceiling. He got up and looked around to see that it was not his house but a place he knew, he was at the hospital.

Wherever he was, he needed to test whether what he knew worked. He closed his eyes and then opened his eyes. A blue light filled his eyes but the atmosphere felt cold rather. His right arm had streaks of blueish white lightning running through. As it tried to reach the metal nearby, Weifeng stopped emitting his element.

Then the door opened to reveal Li Meiling with a flower basket. As their gazes met, she dropped the basket and rushed towards him and hugged him tightly. He also hugged her back after being stunned initially. Then sniffs and a bit of wetness was felt on his shoulder but he just brushed her as he heard her call him gege softly. Weifeng was relived as she was safe and didn't have injuries

After time, she stopped as she sat on a chair as she wiped her tears. She didn't talk and her face looked to the ground.

Thinking that she didn't know what to talk about, Weifeng started to conversation.

"About your question before"

Li Meiling looked up to her brother to see that he smiled at her and said the words she wanted to hear.

"Yes, of course we can be close as we used to be"

She thought back to when they were moving through the buildings back in the rift. She was getting carried by Weifeng as they travelled.

"Grab onto me tightly, I am going to grab something from my storage ring"

It was a small bottle filled with paste.

"Which leg hurts"

"Left"

Holding onto the bottle with two fingers, he took the paste with the finger in the middle as he spared it onto the injured ankle of Li Meiling. Her face ached a little as he touched it then a shade of red appeared on her face.

"Drink this"

After the paste was spread across her injured ankle, he took out another bottle filled with pills.

"They act as painkillers, they can reelevate the pain"

He was prepared when he had come to this rift. Of course also that since he had space, why didn't he bring whatever he could think of was the other thought he had.

As they travelled even more, Li Meiling couldn't opened her mouth but closed it again but after some back and through, she finally spoke.

"Gege"

"Yes"

She said it in a little hitched voice which made him think whether he did something wrong.

"Gege, can I ask a question"
