Waiting for them to finish eating, Noah stood up and stretched,
"Let's go after you're done eating. I'll take you away from here."
The two of them hurriedly got up.
Yu Qiaoqiao even swiftly cleaned up the chicken bone remnants, holding them in her arms like a treasure.
"Why are you holding onto the bones?"
Yu Qiaoqiao blinked earnestly and said, "To take them back for making soup."
Noah couldn't help but laugh and patted Yu Qiaoqiao's little head.
It seemed the two had suffered a lot recently.
If it were his past life, he might have done the same.
"It's okay to throw them away. As long as you behave, you can have as much as you want."
"Okay, thank you. Qiaoqiao will be very obedient."
Hearing Yu Qiaoqiao was going to throw away the bones, others got excited.
"Qiaoqiao, don't throw them away, give them to auntie, and I'll give you money."
"Give them to uncle, remember when you were little, uncle bought you ice cream, have you forgotten?"
"Go away, Qiaoqiao, sister has filmed with you before, you remember, right? It was just last year."
Yu Qiaoqiao looked at everyone's smiling faces, but turned her head away, unwilling to engage.
Before, these people had forced her mother to go to her death, tied her up, and said if her mom couldn't find food to come back, they would eat her alive.
She hadn't forgotten at all.
She wouldn't give the bones to them, not even if they knelt and begged.
Thinking this, Qiaoqiao ran directly to the window and threw the bones and the box out.
"I won't give them to you, hmph."
A middle-aged woman, seeing this, was so frustrated she clenched her teeth, "Ungrateful girl, after all the kindness..."
She raised her hand, intending to slap Yu Qiaoqiao.
But upon seeing Noah's cold gaze, she retracted her hand in embarrassment.
"Slap yourself ten times," Noah ordered calmly.
The middle-aged woman's face turned red, unable to retort, yet unwilling to slap herself.
"My patience is limited, don't force me to take action, or it won't just be a few slaps. I wouldn't mind throwing you out of the window."
The middle-aged woman's face instantly turned pale, "I'll do it myself, I'll do it myself, please don't kill me."
Saying so, she began slapping herself repeatedly.
At that moment, Li Dagang, who had been silent, approached with a smile and extended his hand.
"Hello there, buddy. My name is Li Dagang, a director. You might have seen me on TV. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Noah glanced at Li Dagang but did not shake his hand, "Do you need something?"
Li Dagang gave an awkward laugh and withdrew his hand.
"Here's the thing, buddy. I'd like to hire you as a temporary bodyguard to help me get out of here. You can name your price."
Noah was somewhat amused, "What I want, you probably can't give."
Li Dagang smiled and shook his head, "Not necessarily. You should understand the extent of my connections and prestige, Li Dagang. Everyone owes me a favor. If you help me out, I'll owe you a big one. You know how valuable a favor from me can be, don't you? I think you can see this is a good deal."
Noah took a deep breath.
How inflated must one's ego be to utter such shameless words?
If only he had half the cheek of this guy, he might not need 'Steel Body' to withstand hundreds of Witch's claws without breaking defense.
"Don't believe his words. He's a liar, a scoundrel, a lowlife," Qiaoqiao indignantly said, her expression fiercely cute.
"Oh? How did he prove untrustworthy? Tell me about it."
Yu Qiaoqiao then recounted the previous incidents to Noah in detail.
After understanding the full story, Noah shook his head at Li Dagang.
"I'm not interested in judging whether what you did was right or wrong. In a post-apocalyptic world, I've become accustomed to such matters. Right and wrong often don't matter anymore; what's most important is staying alive."
"Unfortunately, they've made their bed, and now they must lie in it. They are my employees now, and as their boss, it's only right that I help them settle their debts."
"Li Dagang, have you thought about how you're going to settle your debt?"
Li Dagang gave an ugly smile and instinctively took a few steps back, "I see you're a person of strong principles, surely you wouldn't be easily swayed by others."
Noah's gaze grew colder, "I'll give you ten seconds. Either jump off the building yourself, or I'll kick you down. Choose one, and if you don't, I'll take it as you've chosen the second option."
Li Dagang clenched his fists tightly, his pockmarked face darkening, "Brat, don't think I'm afraid of you. Believe it or not, I can have someone kill you. I've killed plenty over the years, adding one more doesn't matter to me."
Noah nodded, "Good, it seems you've made your choice. I'm glad you were able to come up with a third option on your own."
Then, in a blink, he vanished from his spot and reappeared in front of Li Dagang, grabbing his throat and dragging him to the door,
"In ancient times, the Buddha cut flesh to feed eagles; today, Li Dagang sacrifices himself to feed zombies. I admire you, Li Dagang, your merit is boundless."
After saying this, Noah lifted his hand and threw Li Dagang into the corridor filled with howling zombies.
Li Dagang was quickly overwhelmed by the horde, hardly able to scream before being torn apart alive.
Noah returned to the room and looked around at everyone, "Those who have bullied them before, step forward now."
As Noah's words fell, the room was deathly silent, with no response or anyone willing to step forward.
Noah grinned, showing his teeth,
"Very well, it seems you all choose the same path of fearless merit accumulation as Li Dagang."
"Qiaoqiao, point out who bullied you before, one by one"
