"Yes," The Vampire Queen nodded, "The last words he uttered before dying were 'I am sorry,' and, I don't know what he was apologizing for. But, now I think he was apologizing to you."
She didn't care about the girl and was simply talking. She didn't even notice the change in the girl's body, and kept rambling.
"Sorry, huh?" Ember whispered, as black smoke began to cover her entire body. "He is sorry, he said. Hah, he thinks a simple sorry is enough?"
"What did you say?"
The Vampire Queen's eyes narrowed when she heard the girl's whispers. She was still not sensing any threat from the girl, even after seeing the black smoke rising from her body.
"He thought a simple 'sorry' would make up for what he has done? How naive."
As she spoke, Ember's voice was becoming distorted, and her body was slowly transforming.
"I don't need his apologies. I don't want it."
