The look in his face was a scared look, the spell he tried once over-worked, the environment was feeling kinda warm. He began to think in his mind, what did he just do? He just wanted to get to his destination quickly, instead, he's going to die quickly. He dipped his hands into his pocket and brought out a white sheet of paper, the he performed a spell-like magic and a pen appeared on his hands. The Phoenix watched as he began to inscribe some letters on the white sheet of paper.
What could he be possibly writing, the Phoenix thought. You all think that that I'm wrong here, but I'm not. The Fire fang is the last Phoenix, and it's considered to be a mythic being, so of course it has its own mind. He began writing on the paper, he wasn't even properly sitted on the ground.
The Phoenix could not move because it was chained to the ground, but Dexter failed to notice that. He was sure that he was going to die, because he thought he'll have time to devise a plan. The only plan he devised was to sneak up the Phoenix, then pour a special type of herb on his face, which will make it to fall asleep, then he would chain it. Wait a sec, what was stopping him from drugging the Phoenix as planned? He took his bag from his back, then he brought out a little container that was filled with white powder. He turned a little into his hands, then he blowed it into the Phoenix face. The Phoenix on the other hand, in which the drug did not affect, pretended to fell asleep in order to see what Dexter will do next. He let go of his body, and his body stopped bringing out fire as he felled to the ground.
Dexter brought out a long chain from his backpack, and decided to chain the Phoenix to the ground. He went towards the leg of the Phoenix and found it already chained on the ground. "wait a sec, so why the hell did I drug this creature, if it was already chained to the ground?" he thought. "You actually thought that I would be easily drugged by you?" Dexter heard this voice in his mind, the voice was like what he had not heard before. The Phoenix opened his eyes, and immediately his body began to emit fire all over again.
"Let me clear your doubts, I am the fire fang, I've lived for over a thousand years, I've not taken the life of a single human and I've been trapped here for the last 100 years." the Phoenix said majestically.
What? He's over a thousand years old? Dexter thought in his mind, he was extremely confused, how could he hear his voice in his mind? "I have the power to communicate telepathically with humans and other creature. Does that answers your question?" the Phoenix replied again. "oh, so we're doing questions and answers right, but I have no question, so I'll just take what I came from and leave." Dexter said.
"You may have gotten here successfully, but I can assure you that you won't make it out of here alive." the Phoenix said as he adjusted his body. He's right, I'll not be able to leave here alive. "so what do you propose?" Dexter jumped straight to the point
"Clever boy, Let me go, and I'll take you out of here alive, it's as easy as that" the Phoenix replied again.
If I let him go, there's no assurance that he won't bring chaos to the world, unless he's controlled by someone...… "Fine, but you're going to have to make a blood deal with me" Dexter said cunningly.
The Phoenix thought hard about this, but what could a blood deal possibly do, he thought. "Fine, I'm in" the Phoenix gave a sound reply.
Dexter reached his hands into his backpack for his spell book, and also for a knife. He brought it out discreetly, then he cut a place on his thumb, and he also cut a place on the Phoenix forehead. Then he said some words. "Through blood, we join our self together as master and beast, it'll will never be broken unless through death" After muttering these words, he let go of the Phoenix as promised, then the Phoenix let out a loud roar, to show that he was free. The Phoenix allowed Dexter to ride on him as promised and then he let out his wings, then he began flapping them, after which he soared out of the cave and fly through the volcano, then his eyes caught an opening in the top of the volcano, he let out his fire breath and made an opening in which he passed through. After which his eyes could finally see the bright sky.
After a hundred years, he was free at last. He found an opening on the ground and landed there. Dexter got down from the Phoenix, and to his surprise, he wasn't burnt or anything at all. The Phoenix gave Dexter a heart whelming thank you and intended to go away, but as he was flying away, Dexter snapped his fingers and the beast disappeared into his body, immediately he felt warm and more powerful, he could hear the Phoenix voice asking him what happened, but he paid no attention to him as he walked away Wickedly.
