Chapter 6 - Deliver supplies

After five days of heavy rain, not only City B, but the entire Flower Country was flooded. Of course, the same was true abroad. Government officials were busy with disaster relief and could not keep up. Even online news reported several incidents of police and firefighters dying on the way to save people, which was a pity.

When the water reached the fifth floor of the dormitory building, Lin Yiran brought a group of people. Their speedboat was loaded with a lot of supplies, and this arrival caused a sensation throughout the school.

"President Lin is here! He brought a lot of supplies!

"Great! The cafeteria is almost out of food, and I won't be hungry anymore.

Hurry up and queue, or there might be nothing left if you're late!"

In an instant, almost all the teachers and students crowded on the fifth floor, waving to the people not far away.

"We are here!"

Silently watching the male lead bring their speedboat close to the fifth-floor window, Su Yu stood behind and climbed in through the window.

Some in the crowd were in tears, some were greedy, and some were complicated in mood, but they all quieted down when Lin Yiran indicated to be quiet.

Lin Yiran quickly scanned the crowd, his eyes flickered when he saw the girl hiding in the corner behind, and quickly returned to normal: "Teachers and classmates, everything outside is flooded, and the rescuers are too busy to come. We managed to get some supplies delivered. I hope everyone won't waste food and save it." T

Some were indignant: "We're about to be drowned. Even if they're busy, they should come!"

"That's right, the government doesn't care about us anymore!

'I saw on the internet that in other cities, the government provides emergency rescues! Only our government doesn't care about things!

Lin Yiran shook his head, looking uglier than ever: "This heavy rain is global. Our country is flooded everywhere. The terrain of City B is low, and many low-rise houses are about to be flooded to the top. Many people are homeless and are prioritized for rescue and sent to high-rise hotels for unified management. At least you can still live and have food to eat. You didn't see what's outside."

"What's outside?"

The boy's eyes were frighteningly cold: "There are flood vortices everywhere outside now - if you're not careful, you'll be sucked in. Government officials and the military are on the move, but they still can't keep up. They have too many people to save. Moreover, they can only eat emergency fast food, and only twice a day. You still have a cafeteria to cook, which is already very good."

Everyone was in an uproar upon hearing this.

They only learn about the news from their mobile phones every day, but to prevent chaos, Weibo and other message channels are temporarily locked. They can only learn about the rainstorm disaster from group chats and official news. The government also rarely publishes the significant losses caused by the rainstorm disaster. They didn't expect it to be so terrifying outside!

Bai Shang and several others brought all the supplies in and said, "Everything is in short supply now. These were still hard to get. Everyone line up and get a share."

Everyone thanked them repeatedly.

Gu Meng, as a member of the student union, also hurried forward to help, "I'll help too."

Lin Yiran nodded and asked Bai Shang to distribute the supplies with her, while the rest maintained order.

Gu Meng smiled at Bai Shang and said, "Thank you for your hard work."

Bai Shang's eyes had a gentle light sparkling, and she replied gently, "We are all classmates, it's what I should do."

The two started to be busy, giving out half a box of instant noodles, a box of mineral water, two apples, and ten compressed biscuits to each person.

Su Yu, following the mentality of not wanting to miss anything for free, also lined up to receive things. After she took her things, she said a faint thank you and turned to leave.

Not far away, someone called her from behind.

"Classmate Su Yu."

Su Yu turned around, and Lin Yiran approached with a schoolbag in hand, slightly lowering his head, looking at her with black eyes, and said, "Thank you for the past few days."

Su Yu frowned, "?"

How could she not know that she had helped him?

Lin Yiran continued, "At that time, I saw that you stocked up on a lot of things, so I also went back to buy some, otherwise, it would be very suffering to be trapped at home during the heavy rain."

Su Yu's pupils constricted upon hearing this, and she said cautiously, "That's what you wanted to buy, and I didn't help you."

The boy grinned without speaking, handing her the schoolbag: "There are some supplies in it, as an extra thank you to you." SS

Su Yu was silent for a few seconds, reached out to take it. No one would dislike having more supplies, and she was no exception.

Opening the schoolbag, there were some canned meat and fruit, an outdoor first aid kit, and a dagger.

She looked at the boy again: "What do you want to know? Su Yu took out the dagger and looked at it. I'd like to mention in advance that I'm not sure about the situation."

Lin Yiran found her so alert amusing, but still asked a serious question with a straight face, "Do you think this heavy rain can stop?"

Su Yu lowered her eyes and thought, reminding her out of consideration for the supplies, "I'm not sure. Even if it stops, who can guarantee that there won't be other disasters? I'm a bit of a pessimist."

Upon hearing this, Lin Yiran's eyes slightly changed, and only replied after a few seconds, "I see."

Su Yu turned and left, but the gaze behind her seemed to stick to her like a maggot, and didn't leave for a long time.

When she returned to the dormitory, someone was already eating instant noodles. She couldn't take things out of her space, so she also took out a pack of instant noodles, put it in a bowl, and soak it to eat.

A tall and thin girl saw her carrying a bag back, and stared at it intently, as if she couldn't wait to come over and open the bag to take a look.

"Hey, what's in your bag?"

Su Yu looked up at her, her eyes were as cold as ice: "It's none of your business?" It's really idle to stare at other people's things every day.

The girl pouted and muttered unhappily, "Who knows if there's anything that shouldn't be there."

The other few girls buried their heads in eating and didn't dare to make a sound.

Su Yu sighed. There are many right and wrong among people, and if they are not shown, they will whisper privately. It's really troublesome!

She thought for a moment, opened the bag, reached in and emptied it, then threw the bag on the girl's table, taking the initiative to block her mouth.

"Open your eyes wide and see, is there anything?"

The girl took the bag and saw that there was nothing inside, her face turned green and white, and she couldn't speak for a long time. The others buried their heads even lower.

Su Yu got up, took the bag and sneered, "Are you satisfied?"

She put away the schoolbag, placed the stun gun on the table, which made several people tremble. She threatened, "Don't meddle in other people's business next time."

It doesn't matter, she doesn't plan to be friendly with these people, as long as she takes the male lead's boat and goes to the base.
