"Nappa, my monster souls set is complete and balanced in itself. So, I would not be selling any of my monster souls." Nappa said.
No one now has seen what kind of monster soul Nappa even uses. But he claims it is a balanced set in itself.
"I have one monster soul that I want to train. It is an armour type of monster soul, but it is not very usable because it's a pet armour monster soul. Does anyone want a trade?" Rimuru made a puppy face.
"I have a Pet type of monster soul, so I would want to do the trade but first tell me what level of devil soul it is and what kind of monster soul you want to get out of this trade?" Vero said focusing his attention toward Rimuru.
Rimuru called his monster soul and it was a spectacular-looking wolf-looking image. But as there wasn't any pet of Rimuru, this monster's soul could not manifest itself.
"It's an Evolved ranked monster soul which is full body type armour for pets."
"Oh! Is that so? Tell me what type of monster soul you want, but keep in mind that the monster soul you are trying to trade is not much in demand by many people. Only those people will buy it who have pet-type monster souls to begin with." Vero continued his talking part.
"How about some offensive type of evolved monster soul, any weapon type would do?"
While this conversation was going on, Nappa was just minding his own business by looking to the sides. But for Arc, this conversation was eye-opening for him because he did not expect Rimuru to own an evolved tank monster soul. After all, this represents that Rimuru is capable in itself of killing an evolved-rank monster. And monster's soul could not just be obtained by killing one monster which meant he had killed many more monsters of evolved rank.
He had never expected a person who had the personality and character of Rimuru should have so much strength and ability. He always acts cute, humble and submissive which are not the traits usually shown by people with strength.
"Okay, how about I trade a claw-type knuckles monster soul of evolved rank or a whip-type monster soul of Sam rank?" Vero made this transaction because he is not the type of guy to fight much in close combat. His main strength lies in long-range battles.
"Okay, deal. I will choose the whip."
After this, both of them made the transactions by transferring each other the monster soul they agreed upon.
For a slight moment, Vero had a little smile like he was satisfied with the transactions.
He quickly called his pet monster soul which was a wolf, and called the pet armour and it enveloped the wolf in armour that looked more like beautifully designed metallic frame cloths than armour.
The wolf wasn't looking ferocious but cute because it was more in a pup state than being a wolf who could fight.
Rimuru seeing this cute wolf had the stars of excitement in his eyes and anyone could tell that he had the strong urge to pat him by the way he was controlling his hands by clenching them.
Arc on the side also wanted to cuddle with the wolf because he remembered the time when he used to play with the dog that his father had. That dog had died 3 weeks after his father died.
He wanted to feel that amazing feeling of emotional connection with something. If he had enough resources and a monster soul then he would have traded them for this pet monster soul even though he doesn't know much about this monster soul type.
When Rimuru walked forward to the puppy to hug him, Vero called back his monster soul and Rimuru fell to the ground.
"Ouch! That hurts. It would help if you let your pet out more so he can play with others. You are unfair to him."
Vero ignored these remarks made by Rimuru.
…
They kept walking like this until they met a horde of monster bulls running crazily to one side.
This horde was very large and bulls had the appearance of platted armour and their horns were sharp reflective diamond-made weapons with a blue glow.
"I think they are after someone, and it might be some human. What do you think, Gojo?" Vero asked.
"Nothing more than that he is a fool to provoke such a large horde of monsters when he can't even deal with it. But we can take the benefit of this situation to kill these monsters from long range. Everyone, quickly grab your weapons or call you monster souls, whatever you prefer, and start attacking these bulls after climbing the trees and hiding your appearance." Gojo assumed his role of leader and led them to make the best decision possible.
Everyone climbed the tree while also moving slightly back to not get targeted easily.
They were all preparing to use their weapons to hunt some monster from the horde. But just then Gojo stopped Arc from throwing his spear by grabbing his hand.
"Your application of using muscle and strength to throw a spear is incorrect, I assume you don't know or have practiced any spear-related martial arts. Let me tell you, you have to hold it from the middle because in that stance, it can be easy to use for throwing and even using it in close range. Keep in mind, that your skills with your weapons are also needed as much as much strength is needed." Gojo casually made remarks showing how to hold the spear before throwing it.
This explanation was only about the basics of spear weapon technique but using this advice made Arc feel that using and holding a spear has become so much easier than before.
"I was right, he is just a newbie in hunting monsters or at least in using weapons. I even wonder how he got that monster soul to begin with." Nappa muttered to himself.
