San Moreno
In the dead of the night, two men were working hard digging up a hole in the ground. Once they were done, they climbed out of the deep pit and under the guidance of the Old butler, they carried out a corpse wrapped up with a white sheet.
A gush of wind blew the sheets from her face revealing the purplish face of a young woman who's throat has been slit open. She died with her eyes wide open, refusing to shut. The grotesque sight frightened the two workers so much that they nearly dropped the body.
However, after being harshly reprimanded by the Old butler, they composed themselves and continued with their job. They buried the body and then sealed it away with cement.
Los Angeles, CA
The sun shines again, bringing an end to the long months of the cold winter season and welcoming the arrival of spring.
"Welcome to Blossom Bridal Shop. What can we do for you?" The shop manager Linda welcomed three young ladies into the shop with a sweet smile but the three ladies only returned haughty expressions before entering the boutique.
Having been working in the shop for five years and seeing her fair share of eccentric customers, Linda wasn't the least bit disappointed and followed them around with her signature gentle smile. Judging by their designer clothes and bags, these ladies were all rich misses so she can't afford to offend any of them
"I learnt your shop has one of the best bridal wears in the city. Looking around, I'm not that impressed though", said the beautiful and petite lady clad in a limited edition Louis Vuitton brand dress and has blond hair. She seemed to be the leader of the three.
This trio have quite interesting hair color choices. A brunette, a blonde and a red haired.
"Miss shouldn't worry, I'm sure you find our dresses and gowns pleasing. Let me show you the latest arrivals. Believe me you'll look like a diva on your wedding day" Linda quickly spoke, flattering her.
"She's already a diva" the red haired lady on her left responded, her voice filled with arrogance.
"Yes. Yes. My bad. I meant to say that she'll look like the queen that she is. The most beautiful". Linda hurriedly amended her words. The blonde lady smiled in satisfactory, looking charming and seemed to like the compliment.
"Okay I'll see your latest designs. Show me" She said. Linda beamed with joy.
"Just so you know, Jessica Willis is the daughter of senator Willis and she can go to any where in the world to have her wedding dress custom made for her but she chose your store so don't disappoint us" The brunette haired girl on the right felt the need to explain her friend's identity.
"Vicky behave yourself " Jessica pretentious berated her sidekick.
"It's a pleasure to have you here Miss Willis. Please tell me what you like and I'll get it for you "Linda offered. She ordered a staff to serve them their best champagne. If they buy from their shop then it'll be good sales.
"Do you want to try out the gowns yourself?" Linda asked.
"No. I learnt you have girls here who model the dresses" Vicky asked. Linda quickly nodded.
"Well, then have one who have the same body shape as Jessica to try out the gowns" the other girl Sandra chimed in. Linda nodded and turned to leave to get everything started but she was stopped by Jessica.
"Wait. I heard a lady named Nalani works for here"She said. Linda looked at them puzzled but after a second, she quickly adjusted her expression and nodded. Seeing this , the trio smiled.
"Then have her model the dresses". Vicky said.
Linda agreed to their request and left. Jessica tooked out her phone from her bag, dialed a number and waited for the person on the other side to pick up.
A disgruntled voice asked her what she wanted. She gave the person the address to the shop and asked him to come over as soon as possible but the person flatly refused, and his refusal angered her so much. She angrily threatened to inform his mother about it if he didn't show up. Exasperated, the man agreed to come. Jessica smiled triumphantly.
Linda informed Nalani that a client wanted her to model wedding gowns for her. This was her job so she quickly got to changing into the dresses.
At the show room, the curtains parted and Nalani confidently walked down the runway clad in a classic and beautiful wedding gown. She looked so stunning that one would mistake her for a real bride but everyone sitting there to watch the show were far from happy or pleased.
The smile on Nalani's face froze a little and her steps stagnant for a few seconds when she recognized the clients but she quickly regained her composure, smiled even more brightly and continued with the walk. Jessica and her two friends looked at Nalani with green eyes. At some point in time, Jessica's fiance had arrived at the shop and was seated in the show room with them.
He stared transfixed at Nalani's beauty, completely mesmerized. Jessica saw Gerard, her fiance looking at Nalani and her eyes turned red with jealousy. Her fingers dug into her palm as she clenched her fist tightly, trying to suppress her jealousy and hatred.
"Well, Miss what do you think of this gown?"asked Linda, who was standing by their side.
"It's awfully made" Vicky retorted.
"And classless too" Sandra added.
Linda was taken aback at their harsh remark but quickly offered to show them another one.
" If you don't like this one then have her change into another one." She quickly asked Nalani to go back and change into the other preselected gowns so the latter walked away.
A while later, Nalani reappeared wearing a beautiful figure hugging, v-neck, appliqued shealth, strapless wedding dress with side illusions which accentuated her curves and long legs leaving everyone with mixed emotions.
"So beautiful". Gerard muttered. He had imagined countless times what it'll be like seeing his beloved girl wearing a wedding dress. She looked as stunning as he'd imagined. Jessica sitting close to him heard his compliment and her expression twisted with jealousy. She stood up abruptly, startling everyone present. Then she walked up to Nalani, sizing her up from top to bottom. She turned to look at her friends who quickly came to surround Nalani as well. The latter remained unfazed by their intimidations.
"No matter how much you dress up a pig, it'll still look vulgar and classless" Vicky remarked rudely, looking at Nalani with a haughty gaze but the latter remained quiet. Seeing her words having no effect on the target, she got even angrier and suddenly grabbed the pearl necklace on Nalani's neck. She yanked it causing it to break and scattered everywhere on the floor.
