The Dwarven and Silvan armies were camped in the fields in front of the city; neither of them would enter the walls without waiting for their leader to lead the march and receive approval from us. Curiously, in order not to have any resentments, the delegations themselves waited until the other was complete and ready to ascend.
From the wall of the lower city you could see how the dwarf and elven royal delegation ascended in parallel so as not to create reasons for envy or preference between them; they were old acquaintances who, after centuries of calm, were reunited in a common cause.
The eleven councilors were waiting for them with the city gates open and their best clothes; luckily, the merchants had not been so patient and arrived in droves as soon as they could. The humans seemed like a real court.
