I saw Elsine leave towards the west. Our advance through those unknown lands was exciting. We both belonged to the group of explorers, so avoiding beasts and advancing quickly was a pleasant experience for both of us.
Most of the terrain after the large lake was a collection of gentle hills, extensive meadows, and the occasional small, isolated mountain. My route was easy; I followed a small river that led north.
For the first time in months, I was completely alone; my light steps did not even leave footprints in the snowy landscape. The temperature in this region was colder than the surroundings of Camelot, but it was refreshing. I felt alive and excited.
