Mission: End the chaos
Mission progress: task incomplete]
Anton followed a group of soldiers from a distance. As the Pope of Light, he had to preserve all his strength for the primary enemy they intended to kill.
For this mission, Anton had come prepared with something that was now within him: a weapon of mass destruction that would annihilate everything in its path, whether demon or human.
Anton was a living bomb, a request he made before coming here. If, for any reason, he failed, humanity would not be entirely lost.
"Are you sure you can fight with that in your body?" Rafael, Anton's loyal follower, had made the decision to join him and asked with complete honesty.
"It's not a hindrance," Anton replied. He could fight at full strength without issue.
Alexander, who was further ahead, was constantly reporting on the progress of the incursion at the front, so everyone waited.
Meanwhile, Jay was in the rear, encouraging the soldiers.
Anton felt proud of his followers, who had stayed with him until the end of time.
"Thank you for joining me in this final battle..." Anton smiled as more and more dark presences ignored them as they delved deeper into the cavern beneath the Black Tree of Demons.
After hours of the incursion, they finally arrived at a massive iron door. The agents of light who had made it this far looked to Anton, who was analyzing the patterns.
"We can go in..." Anton stepped back, and Alexander moved forward with a team of twenty agents.
Rafael looked at Anton and asked, "Do you know what class it is?"
"It won't be an exorcism."
"A demon incarnate?"
"No, a god."
If a demon couldn't be exorcised, it meant they were in deep trouble.
Most problems were solved because the true body of the devil was in hell, and when it crossed the barrier between the two worlds into the human realm, it became an incarnation, but it wasn't complete.
Therefore, in the early stages, the goal of an exorcism wasn't to kill the devil but to drive it away. After all, the devil cannot be killed.
But now things were changing, as what awaited inside wasn't a devil, demon, or malevolent spirit. What was within would be beyond their comprehension.
Rafael, nervous about what awaited on the other side of the door, quickly ordered, "Everyone move now; we need to create a perimeter."
More light agents entered, but this time without confidence.
Doubt grew among them all.
At that moment, a melodic voice echoed throughout the enormous cavern.
"I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella. I have never known defeat, and I hope you have something better than merely trying to seal me."
Everyone looked toward the air as an enormous female figure descended.
Anton, standing at the front, quickly activated the Blessing of Adam. In that instant, a golden wing appeared behind his sword, while a completely dark one formed on the other side.
Grasping his sword with his right hand, he looked at Rafael, who was trembling merely at the sight of the colossal figure. "Order everyone to fire. They don't need to worry about me; I'll deflect the bullets."
"Wait!"
Boom!
But Anton didn't wait. He charged toward the dangerous woman and murmured, "Perfect Red King, sacred invocation."
A golden light quickly suppressed the red energy of Malenia, neutralizing her crimson rot.
Malenia looked at Anton, who was also flying, and before she could raise her sword, she felt pressure restraining her right hand.
"This is... interesting."
Anton, now face-to-face with Malenia, swung his sword, striking her chest. She hadn't even defended herself.
Boom!
Alexander, having received the orders, raised his weapon and shouted, "Orders from the Pope of Light: fire at will, don't worry."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
All the agents of light began shooting at the red-haired woman.
Rafael and the technical team set up heavy weapons for the artillery team to take over.
"Stay calm; the Pope of Light will handle this."
Boom!
But in that moment, Anton's body slammed into the stone wall. Everyone saw the strongest symbol of humanity drenched in blood, while his enemy remained standing.
"Cover the Pope of Light; we'll take care of this." Alexander broke into a cold sweat, and as Anton withdrew from the fight, agents who moved with lightning speed entered.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
But unlike Anton, they were all defeated within seconds.
All their bodies, no matter how large, were cleanly sliced in half, as if it were effortless for her.
Anton, having risen again, waited for his wounds to heal. He removed his coat, revealing the damage the rot had done to his armor.
"She's a supreme existence..." Anton hadn't given up. His hands came together again, forming the silhouette of an angel that would at least protect the light agents from the rot spreading around them.
