A few months after creating the portal that connected Jerusalem with hell, Anton convened a meeting to share knowledge with the numerous countries that had expressed concern.
"How can we be sure this won't happen again?"
"We can't know for sure." At that moment, Ethan Winchester, leader of the Winchester family and regent of half the S.G.C., entered the room where all the highest-ranking leaders were gathered.
Anton recognized the man, so he asked, "How are things going with the vampires?"
"They don't treat me too badly, but damn, thousands of demons in Jerusalem? When I heard they defeated Kiran, I really started to wonder if we'd be able to save that territory." Ethan was a very sarcastic man, seemingly hating dark entities, and his methods for eliminating them were highly questionable.
Kiran, who was also at the meeting, slightly furrowed his brows, irritated, and said, "For someone who hates anomalies, you seem to be enjoying yourself with a coyote woman. I heard rumors that you're also involved with a vampire woman."
"It seems you're very interested in other people's lives. That makes me question your devotion to this shitty job." Ethan replied as he sat down in one of the seats furthest from those not involved in eliminating anomalies.
"Enough!" One of the presidents attending the meeting via voice call expressed his annoyance.
"Angry about the comfort of your country? Don't worry, you'll soon see the same or worse outside your home." Ethan responded irritably.
Kiran smiled faintly and lit a cigarette. Perhaps the way Ethan behaved towards this job meant that taking lives wasn't such a bad thing after all.
"Control your men, Pope of Light!"
Anton, who had been silently sipping a blue liquid with unknown substances, coldly eyed the man who had spoken and asked, "Are you giving me orders now?"
"Understand the situation."
"You are in the presence of the three strongest men in the world who could face any situation at the cost of our lives, so show some respect and don't treat us as mere puppets." Anton's voice silenced everyone in the room.
This was the reality—Ethan and Kiran each controlled 50% of the S.G.C. organization, while Ethan commanded 100% of the Light Association.
Currently, Ethan is a supernatural hunter blessed by the Nine-Tailed Holy Fox, a spirit similar to Lycanthropes with the added divinity to combat cursed spirits.
Kiran, on the other hand, was a hunter who had risen through the ranks of his peers through a biological process of evolution, something no other man in the world could likely achieve.
Anton wouldn't demand anything from them; after all, they owed nothing and yet had responded to his call to fight without expecting anything in return.
If the presidents—simply put, the world's leaders—wanted to impose their political succubus games on this conversation, then Anton would expel them.
"If you want an answer, then here it is: the attacks will become more frequent from now on," Anton stated in a calmer voice.
"That's…"
At that moment, Ethan intervened and said, "As we've simulated, the world is expected to experience a massive sighting that will affect an entire country, and if we don't act quickly, it could impact an entire continent. We are prepared for this confrontation, with the riskiest measures being the nuclear armament of all countries focused on a single point."
An attack was expected, one hundred times larger than the one that destroyed Jerusalem, which had hundreds of thousands of soldiers and was reduced to death and destruction in just a few days.
As for where and when, it's at least known that it will likely be in Canada, where the last Pope of Light sealed a powerful dark entity.
"Any questions?"
