Anton stood up, walked to the bathroom, and took enough pills to keep him awake for a few days.
The energy he needed had to be supplemented from other sources, and these medications, theoretically harmless, were the best he could use.
Under his black robe with gold edges, he wore his combat armor, recently repaired and now integrated with many more enhancements from confiscated predator suits.
In addition to environmental recognition, Anton's suit had a shoulder-mounted weapon system and various components that made it unique, like camouflage.
"Weapons are ready and in position."
Jay was in the group, going down first to ensure everything was in order, and only after that did he signal for Anton to come out.
Alexander exited before Anton purely for aesthetics, then joined the group on the side and waited.
When Anton descended from the plane, his eyes fell upon a group of people in armor with silver embroidery. These were the famous Templar Knights under the command of the Association of Light, here to confront the demons.
"First Division of Templar Knights, salute the Father of Light."
Anton looked at ten thousand soldiers in advanced armor assembled before him. Though unaware of it initially, as the Father of Light, he now had things beyond his control.
"Sir, my name is Omer, and I am the general of the elimination division in charge of Jerusalem's protection. I am now under your direct command." Omer was a robust man with dark skin and a thick beard, his gaze full of seriousness, easily conveying his vast experience in the field.
Anton nodded, looked around, and asked, "What is the status of the red code?"
"We've shut down communications with the outside world. The UN army fleet is nearby to provide air support if needed, and we're currently evacuating quietly to avoid chaos."
Omer paused and pointed out, "Father of Light, now that you're here, these men need you to continue their fight."
"I understand."
There was no need to mention this; Anton understood his obligations, knowing perfectly well that a blessing from him could mean something immeasurable to many.
Anton walked in front of these Templar Knights and asked, "Soldiers of God, what is your mission?"
"We are the Templar Knights; there is no dark being we turn our backs on, and with the hand of God by our side, we will eliminate any sign of evil in this world. Our mission is to guide and enlighten humanity, transforming the world into a progressive, self-sustained utopia, cleansed of its barbaric nature from all those who would corrupt themselves before evil."
Upon hearing this, Anton's gaze did not waver, and he asked aloud, "At what cost?"
"Our mission is more important than our own lives."
Anton nodded and commanded, "Then take my order: eliminate any demon, even if it is in the body of an innocent. Remember this: by sacrificing a few, we will save millions."
"We follow the order of the Father of Light; under his command, we will eliminate the evil being unleashed in Jerusalem, the house of God."
