"We'll call it the case of the thirsty zombie outbreak. These zombies don't bite out of hunger but because they're thirsty, and the only quick way to relieve that pain is by drinking their victims' blood."
In a room, Anton was overseeing Jay as he held a meeting with his subordinates under his command in this department.
The reason he was doing this work was because he hoped that what killed his father would appear and attack, so he could eliminate it. He wasn't eager for that confrontation because he knew how strong that dark entity could be. Things weren't finished yet in case he was eliminated in that mission. What he was preparing now were the foundations of a self-sufficient organization that would keep everything in order without government interference.
"From the information we have, a private company has developed a special drug to give people more energy during the day, but the side effects are that after a while, the same person would act like a zombie, killing people to drink their blood."
Jay paused and pointed out, "However, after quenching their thirst, these same people would turn back into humans only in the early stages of their disease."
The first time Anthony discovered this type of new dark entity, or simply a contagion created through a drug that possibly came from some dark entity that the same private company somehow obtained, was in an elimination operation.
The people acted similarly to rabid dogs, continuing to attack until someone inflicted serious damage on them until they died.
This wouldn't be so serious if those same people infected with the drugs could infect others with just one bite.
"That was only in the early stages."
On the screen where the meeting was being held, Jay pressed a button and said, "The people we saw captured who committed murder on different scales were in treatment until recently, when they completely lost their sanity."
"Now that you've understood enough here, we need to carry out your missions. The first is to prevent the infection from spreading, and the second is to eliminate the private company that creates these drugs." Anton stood up so everyone would look at him.
As soon as they saw Anton, many stood up to salute him, but Jay stepped forward and said, "We don't have time for greetings. Get to work; let's resolve this as soon as possible."
Everyone stood up, saluted, and began working on the new operation they had on their hands.
"Father of the Light, how was my performance?" Jay knew when to have confidence and when not to.
Anton looked at the documents on the table and said, "This is a very complicated operation. It's in your hands. You know that if you make a mistake, an entire city could be wiped out."
"I understand well, Father. I'll do it right." Jay was very excited to be able to obtain a new rank, so he wouldn't make any mistakes from now on.
"We'll need to conduct field operations. Tell the agents of the light to take charge." After saying this, Anton walked toward the exit to head to his office.
But at that moment, Alexander came out of a different meeting room and said, "We have a serious problem."
"To my office."
