Anton stood in front of Gotou's corpse, which was withering away slowly. In his vacant gaze at the end of the day, fear of death was revealed, something that surprised Anton.
"This is my world, Gotou; my time has not yet come," Anton murmured as he held the wound on his chest, which had stopped bleeding as soon as the mission rewards were granted to him.
In a few moments, his left hand, which had been severed, regenerated before his eyes while a golden light enveloped his shoulder and part of his back.
The blessing of Adam, his wings, and Cain's sword were granted in just a few seconds, now at Anton's disposal.
"Cardinal, a helicopter is on its way." Alexander observed everything happening to Anton and, upon seeing that golden light, immediately lowered his gaze, not daring to look directly at him.
Anton did not react to the pain, looked at Alexander, and said, "Classify all the videos, prevent any information leaks, and remember to leave no evidence."
"I will take care of everything."
At that moment, a helicopter landed on a grassy field. Anton boarded, and they quickly departed to a place where he could recover. This place wasn't heavily populated; he had chosen an area sparsely inhabited, so his wishes would be fulfilled by being taken there.
Anton expected to be wounded, but not to this extent. However, the rewards this time were the best he had received in a long time.
"Help me remove the weights." Anton looked at a female soldier beside him and ordered her to help since he was very tired and currently focusing on healing his wounds, which were his top priority.
The woman nodded and began to assist Anton with some fear upon seeing all the blood pouring from his wounds. She didn't understand how he was still conscious, given the amount of blood he had lost. Nevertheless, she started helping him remove all the weights, which were really heavy.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
One by one, the weights were removed from Anton's wrists, and his legs and arms were filled with these weights. Once everything was done, the soldier placed bandages over the wounds as instructed.
Anton remained calm, prioritizing using his light points to heal his wounds, and the healing speed visibly increased.
"How much longer until we arrive?"
"Zz… Five minutes."
Anton opened his eyes, regained his senses, and after seeing that they had arrived, he prepared to get off the helicopter. As soon as he exited, a group of medics were waiting for him. They helped him down, and, following simple instructions, they only took care of closing the open wounds.
"Do you want us to use anesthesia?"
"It's not necessary; just do as I say and leave." Anton was feeling very strange, and all he wanted was to be alone most of the time until his wounds healed.
When the doctors finished, Anton ordered everyone to leave and walked towards a pool.
"It's very hot." Anton removed his outer clothing and jumped into the pool, which soon began to bubble from the heat.
Minutes passed, and Anton did not emerge until suddenly, from the depths of the water, a surge of wind was generated.
Boom!
Anton emerged; his body was completely healed, and from the left side of his body, three white wings extended, radiating an enormous, unimaginable power of light.
Anton's breathing steadied, his senses sharpened, and when he looked at his reflection in the water, he murmured, "Incredible."
That power was magnificent; he controlled it perfectly, and when he concealed it, the three wings on the left side of his back disappeared in a brilliant act.
When Anton saw this, he took a deep breath and immediately made a call: "I need to gather data."
