Anton walked to a place where his archbishop's attire was kept, a special one that represented his strength and authority. In this completely black outfit, you could see the large purple cross in the middle of his chest. Over his black outfit, he wore a tunic with golden edges, with some light silver crosses hanging from it.
Once he changed his clothes, Anton put on his two black gloves and took his weapons, both for eliminating dark entities and ending people's lives.
"Sir, we are ready," said Jack, who had prepared the equipment to take him.
Anton nodded and looked at a silver rosary on the table. "I'll be out in a moment."
Akira, who had also changed into new clothes—ones she had before but in more subdued colors—looked at Anton as he left and said, "Are we meeting directly with the Marquis?"
"Of course, even if the Marquis is an idiot, he will follow old customs if we don't want to purge the order." Anton extended his hand to take Akira's, and together they left the church.
John was waiting at the entrance, so he walked beside Anton, knowing they would meet the man who was hunting him. He understood what was going on, but in a way, he didn't understand how things were flowing this way all of a sudden.
"Mr. ShadowBane, I must say it is a pleasure to see you and count on me for this treaty we are about to make. I will be at your service and follow the guidelines you require." Wiston approached Anton and greeted him politely.
"I'm sorry about your hotel and concierge; I must say I was surprised when the order made that stupid decision. But I guess I saw it coming from the beginning—a man like you who hasn't always had everything planned to recover it in this same way."
Anton looked at this shrewd man, and to be honest, he didn't want to interact with him anymore; he knew how controlling and power-hungry Wiston had become, so it wasn't healthy to be around men like him.
"Let's get moving then; let's go see that Marquis everyone is talking about," muttered Anton in a colder voice.
As Anton's convoy approached, nothing could go wrong, and if it did, everyone was prepared to face any kind of problem.
John had made it very clear that if he caused any trouble now that he was being helped, he would be eliminated accordingly.
"Was there only this way for everyone to come out unharmed?" Akira asked, knowing little about the matter.
Anton nodded. "This is the only way; what I'm doing is helping your father's friend and not making all the deaths today pointless, so this is how things will be."
This was the only existing way in which the order and John could resolve things.
Anton was interested in resolving things in the world to focus on the real problem.
"The world is really becoming more and more out of control, and those who have never fought will have to do so out of obligation and not desire," Anton added as the convoy stopped at Osaka Castle, where a meeting had been arranged.
The first to get off were Anton's guards; they all carried more powerful weapons than last time, making them even more lethal.
Once the area was secured and it was seen that there were no problems with the people waiting for him, they proceeded to open the door where Anton was, who could feel everything around him through his heightened perception.
"Welcome, Archbishop; the Marquis is waiting for you."
Anton nodded, looked at John, who was also by his side, and only the people who needed to be in the negotiation entered the palace, where there were numerous guards.
"Who would have thought the person we've been trying to kill had entered my door? It would be so easy to end your life right now that it makes my hand tremble." The Marquis looked at Anton, completely ignoring him and focusing only on John, who had entered with him.
Anton smiled slightly, looked around at the unnecessary people who should not be there, and said, "Let those who are not needed here leave; I get very nervous, and things tend to happen."
The man behind the Marquis looked at Anton and said, "Then the woman by your side should leave; she shouldn't be here."
Boom!
At that name, everyone felt something dark fly towards the man who had spoken, and at that moment, the person beside him had been decapitated without anyone being able to do anything.
The man who spoke turned his head, felt the blood that had filled his face, and then looked at the man who had died beside him, unable to believe it.
"How dare you?"
The Marquis looked at Anton and shouted, "Silence, let everyone else leave."
"I think the order has forgotten the authority that the Light Association has over the world, especially over the governments that have let their crimes pass. There are rules, Mr. Marquis; if you are not willing to follow them, I will cut off your head and take it to someone with more power." Anton said as his eyes darkened more and more.
Everyone felt fear; few had been in contact with darkness, so seeing someone kill a person without using a weapon is terrifying. Especially that darkness that had appeared around Anton—no one knew what it was, but everyone could feel it.
"Excuse my bad manners, Archbishop; you must understand that the order has had many problems related to John's surroundings, so being able to resolve all this at once is something that made me nervous." The Marquis broke out in a cold sweat, seeing how Anton was anything but normal, and he understood that the ancient stories about the ShadowBane family were true.
