"My family is in that building; you can't do this to us!" Shouted a man with all his might as he saw that he was being ignored all this time.
"We can't do anything at the moment; as a member of a family in that building, you just have to wait patiently." A police officer tried to calm the devastated man.
Anton walked by without saying anything. Things should be taken a bit more seriously, but since he hadn't lost anyone close, it would be cruel to think that way.
"My daughter was sick; I just went downstairs to buy her some medicine."
When Anton heard this, he stopped, looked at Rafael, who had also stopped, and, turning around, asked, "What was your daughter sick with?"
"She had a slight cold..." The man looked confused at Anton, who seemed to be here to help.
But contrary to expectations, there was an uncomfortable silence for so long that few knew what was going on.
"Arrest that man; inform the light association directly that the breach has possibly leaked. They should consider activating martial law in this city until they are sure that the infection has not reached a critical level."
"What do we do with those who resist?"
Anton looked at Rafael and said, "Eliminate them; we are protecting millions, so we shouldn't care about killing a few hundred."
"Understood, sir!"
At that moment, Guillermo watched as some men, completely covered in black, moved away from the policeman and put a special mask on his mouth. They then arrested him, and the man who was crying for his daughter was also arrested.
"What are you doing?"
"Release me, you damn bastards!"
Anton walked toward the man; he had put on a special mask and said, "You are probably infected; you are a time bomb, so you will be quarantined. If for some reason your family is okay, I will make sure to get them out of that building, but if you resist, killing you is also an option."
Turning around without saying anything else, the agents of light took charge.
Guillermo, who heard that the virus had probably leaked, asked, "What action do you recommend we take?"
"Activate martial law; no one should be outside after thirty minutes." Anton wanted to recommend this for now, as well as sealing the entrances and exits of the city to be more cautious with a large-scale infection.
When Anton said this, he entered a tent completely isolated, and when he saw Alexander arguing with someone, he asked, "What's going on?"
"Sir, they sent a Geo team without authorization and the necessary equipment to survive." Alexander quickly informed him of what he had discovered.
Anton took a deep breath, ignoring the issue. He looked at the squad that was going in with him and, putting on the equipment on his body, said, "Listen carefully. No matter what you see inside that building, our task is to eliminate all evil and prevent the infection from spreading."
"Despite their supernatural origins, what we know is that this dark entity has expanded its evil, and the demonic virus is described as a common virus in human blood. The moment symptoms appear varies depending on the blood type, as some people immediately become bloodthirsty creatures and others take some time to languish before the virus takes effect."
Saying this, Anton, while putting on some black boots, said, "The possessed body can be stopped by religious forces like reciting scriptures, usually invoked by a priest."
"We understand that the demon Medeiros manifests when forced religiously, in a ritual similar to an exorcism. They also demonstrate the disturbing ability to mimic the voices of others to deceive and attack their victims." Anton, after saying that, approached everyone to give them a blessing.
As he always does, he had to take care of those who would follow him; then they would see if it would be dangerous or not, but that would be left for later.
"Everyone behind me, we have top-quality equipment, so don't panic about getting bitten." Anton took a shotgun and unlocked it.
"Understood, Archbishop Guardian!" Twelve people responded at the same time.
Guillermo looked at Anton's group leaving and approached, "Martial law has been declared; good luck, sir."
"Take care; we'll be back later." Anton nodded and looked at the silent building.
"Here we go..."
