"Initiate an investigation into Patricia Milton's recent suicide." Anton said as he stood in front of a screen that was glowing with a very dim color.
"Results of Patricia Milton's investigation have been found. What exactly do you want to know?"
Looking into the Eye of God, Anton scanned through numerous files of the deceased woman, and upon realizing how much there was, he paused for a moment. "Summarize Patricia's last week before her suicide. I want to know what she was doing during that time and what she was researching."
"Results found... Mrs. Patricia had been looking into reports about demons, evil spirits, or cursed presences. [After witnessing her sister's death with her own eyes, she started experiencing unnatural things.] "
Anton carefully examined the police images taken at the scene and saw the lingering smile on the victim's face caused by that dark entity.
There was very little information; in fact, Patricia, being a reserved woman, began researching in libraries instead of online, but her sister did come across more explicit information about her situation.
"Did Patricia's sister also witness someone committing suicide?" Anton appeared very puzzled upon discovering a special case of suicide witnessed by Patricia's sister.
If that were the case, Anton knew it was a chain effect, so he ordered, "Show cases that connect to this one, filter them, and tell me how many victims of this dark entity there are."
This time, more screens lit up, and dozens of photographs appeared before his eyes, alongside each victim's death by suicide.
"The suicide cases you're seeing on screen are interconnected in a chain; what's noticeable is that none of these victims survived more than a week after witnessing another's suicide. [The effect is as precise as a domino effect, and the light association has remained on the sidelines because police reports were not helpful.] "
This partly made sense; the light association only gets involved in cases where the dark entity is alerted by the police according to protocol, but very few are on the supervisor's list. For a while, Anton understood that it was impossible for them to stay fully focused on each existing case, so they rarely got involved immediately.
"Who's the most recent victim who hasn't died yet?" Anton stared at the screen without flinching as he witnessed all these horrible deaths unfold.
"The last registered victim has been marked by the dark entity for six days; it's estimated that she will be killed today, past the required time."
Anton furrowed his brow, walked directly to a closet, took out a jacket that covered most of his suit, and after grabbing some weapons, he returned to the screen.
"Can you track the victim?"
Without the Eye of God, gathering all this data would take an eternity, so knowing that the deaths had a pattern was more than enough to understand that it was a dark entity.
"The victim is 25 years old, named Laura Zonser; she's currently being transferred to what seems to be a psychiatric hospital due to a report of insanity."
Seeing that everything was in order, Anton looked at himself in a mirror and, satisfied with his appearance for public view, left his house, where a car was waiting for him.
Alexander, dressed in a suit, quickly ran to Anton's side, took the suitcase he was holding, and asked, "Where are we going?"
"Olser Psychiatric Hospital..." Anton walked towards the passenger door to sit and let his new assistant drive.
Alexander wore an all-black suit and had a slightly intimidating appearance, but Anton could tell he was a good man, so others' opinions didn't matter as long as they didn't cross the line.
"Understood, sir, we'll get there as soon as possible."
As Alexander looked at the directions he needed to follow, he felt excited to work with Anton ShadowBane, who was now well-known for eliminating a very dangerous dark entity.
Everyone had become aware of death and duty, so knowing how important it was to keep fighting, no one would mind dying alongside Anton ShadowBane, who was now an Archbishop Guardian.
Recognizing Anton's skills, he could now handle missions at a national level and beyond, solving much more complex cases. Now, no one underestimated Anton, and his skills were respected greatly.
As Alexander set off, he asked, "Would you like some music?"
"If you enjoy music, you can play some. I appreciate the hierarchy within the light association, but if we're not on a mission directly, you can just call me Anton."
"Understood, sir." Alexander smiled even more, realizing that Anton was actually very humble, something many had not achieved yet.
