Chapter 156 - A Pledge

Arghhhh!!!

Boom!

Anton impacted against a structure again while tightly gripping the neck of the demon, which was moving from side to side as if it were enraged.

"Do you feel fear now?" Anton stood up with some visible scratches on his face and open wounds on his head, but with unwavering determination in his eyes. He didn't want to engage in a bitter fight with this powerful demon, but he needed to give the exorcists time to complete the sealing preparations.

At that moment, Anton appeared next to the demon and stabbed its back deeply, but the wound wasn't so severe due to the strong physique of the demon.

"Argh!!!"

Valac roared in pain, but at the same time, a gust of air expelled everything around, including Anton, who was nearby.

Anton forcefully stepped back due to the air, and his right hand, holding the shining sword, plunged into the ground to withstand the violent winds dragging him across the floor. Using all his strength, he lifted his hand, and darkness began to concentrate around him, preparing for a subsequent attack.

"Whether demons or fallen angels, anyone with evil in their hearts shall die by my hand." Anton wasn't alarmed by the chaos around him and focused on the figure that was staring at him.

Crack!

At that moment, something sharp headed toward his neck, but he reacted quickly, raising his hand, and that thing forcefully impaled it.

Fresh blood filled Anton's face, flowing down his cheeks, temporarily blinding his eyes. His compromised vision made Anton panic, and he quickly launched a dark attack, pushing everything in front of him with force.

At that moment, his only thought was not to give this demon the opportunity to attack the exorcists who were preparing to seal it.

With that thought in mind, Anton stood up and ran again towards the three-meter-tall demon.

The sound of metal cutting through flesh could be heard clearly, giving him the feeling of gaining ground.

After launching many attacks on the demon's body, Anton finally saw it retreat. Blindly cutting would only cause superficial wounds to the demon, so he focused on tearing off its right arm with continuous cuts in the same wound.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Attacking in the same position, Anton advanced continuously, but at that moment, just as he was about to tear off the arm, a powerful blow struck his stomach.

Boom! Crashing against a pile of rubble, Anton collapsed without the possibility of getting up quickly, as he had been doing before.

"You are an annoying exorcist; your blood disgusts me, and your mere existence fighting for humans when you were the same demon before that pities me." Valac walked towards where Anton was and lifted him while holding onto his suit.

Anton heard this repeatedly; for him, every time they repeated that, it was like remembering a dead part of him, so he didn't give it much importance.

"You have no idea..." Anton held with his right hand that huge claw holding him, and the blood flowing from his Hand of God began to burn the demon's arm.

Soon he regained some of his vision, so his left hand, covered in darkness, formed a long dagger that went unnoticed by the demon.

"Ahhhhh!"

In an instant, Anton forcefully raised his right hand and, using thousands of faith points, plunged that dark dagger into the demon's body.

Arghhh!!! Valac roared in fury and looked at Anton resentfully, but knowing that he was losing strength, he threw him where the exorcists and agents were.

"Is he dead?" Anton slightly raised his back, wanting to see what was happening in front of him, but at that moment, a hand grabbed him by the neck with force and lifted him off the ground.

"Terry, what are you doing?" Looking at Terry with lost eyes, Anton frowned as he exerted more and more force on his neck.

Terry smiled at seeing Anton's weakness and said, "You failed, just as you failed to fulfill your goals in your past life... Now die like the miserable dog you are!"
