"Are you really okay?" Ed could tell from Anton's expression that he was very tired and, above all, seemed to be injured.
Anton nodded. This was not the right time to talk about his injuries, so he said nothing more than entering the house and looking around.
"Priest Anton, Drew always wanted to go to your church, but apparently, you were not there." Lorraine walked alongside Anton into the house and brought up a conversation.
"Well, I spent some time abroad solving some pretty big problems, but I'm back..." Anton suddenly felt several malicious presences in the air, so he looked down as if contemplating something very logical that might have dared to be present here.
Anton didn't need to confirm whether there was a supernatural existence or not because every case Lorraine called him for always ended up being indeed supernatural. What he was doing now was figuring out how big the problem was and knowing how to fix it.
But knowing he was being impolite, Anton's eyes soon focused on the family of this house, who hadn't said a single word at this moment.
"We haven't encountered a big problem since last time, but here we are. It seems to be a significant situation that requires the help of someone truly skilled to cleanse the evil from this place." Lorraine was brief with her words because she knew Anton also had the ability to see the evil around them.
Anton smiled slightly and said, "I'll have to give you a warning to stay away from these cases. You and Ed will end up really hurt if you keep getting into these dangerous places."
The important thing now was what was happening in the house.
After learning only the introductory details, Lorraine handed Anton a series of files they had gathered so that he could be aware of what this place was hiding.
"Priest Anton, this is the information we could gather so far, and we believe it's more than enough to start with whatever you have to do."
Anton took the files, walked to the living room, and sat down quietly. "It's known that before Mateo and Isabella's family moved into this house, there was a murder about a year ago."
"A man brutally murdered all the members of his family in the middle of the night, and when they caught him, he claimed someone forced him to do it."
Anton remained calm, looking at this information; nothing could disturb him now with the experience he had and everything he had gone through.
"Is that why Isabella hears footsteps every day at midnight?"
Lorraine nodded and said, "That's what we have related to that case and this."
Anton moved on to the next page, looking at the family that had died. Confirming the information he needed to be a bit more informed, he looked at Thomas, who had entered with his belongings.
Now that he knew the time when that evil spirit moved, Anton wanted to check if rituals had been performed in this place before. The concentration of cursed energy in this place was truly concerning.
Looking at this case, he realized that Isabella was the first to hear footsteps, so she would theoretically be the one to be possessed first, ending up like the first case. She would be the one to kill her entire family, repeating history.
The demon or whatever was in this place was getting closer to them, closer and closer, and when things got worse, that entity would choose any family member to kill.
Anton looked at the family, and his gaze focused on Isabella. As expected, they were all emotionally low and very depressed, something an evil spirit usually does before possessing someone.
"Give each member of this family a silver cross; for now, that will help them a bit." Anton said this without looking at his assistants, who immediately got to work.
He knew that when this family felt suffocated, they would leave the house. Still, at that moment, the demon had marked them so much that, in these cases, it would be impossible to escape the evil spirit.
"The dark entity is becoming more and more aggressive." Anton looked at the attached photograph in the file and saw a silhouette next to the stairs.
However, these pieces of evidence are far from enough to obtain authorization from the church based on these photos and interviews because ordinary people can easily do these things nowadays.
