Chapter 122 - The Power of a Completely Reborn Demon

"It's been eight hours, and we haven't found any other victims. What do we do now?" Terry was in a dilemma as he analyzed the overall situation.

Anton, who was sleeping, wasn't worried because if he was, he wouldn't be able to face the dark entity that was currently free, so he preferred to stay in perfect condition.

It was known that a monk named Jayden was in the city looking for someone. It would be very ironic to think that he is after the red eye because if he has the black eye, combining those two cursed objects would be the end of everything a guardian monk does.

In that case, information was searched about who Jayden was looking for, and it was found that there was a deserter monk named Harry who was currently being sought.

"Have the detectives found anything?"

"They haven't found any connection yet. Shall we look into it ourselves?"

To be honest, Anton could use the Eye of God to find the next victims, but for now, he was interested in finding the black eye, so he didn't want to waste time looking for someone unimportant given the situation.

"Sir, we have found monk Jayden at the bus station. A team is now heading to intercept him."

Anton nodded; he didn't want to make a big fuss about this, so he said, "Find him; they are dealing with a cursed object, so they must be careful to ensure it's still sealed."

"Understood, sir."

Looking at the security cameras, Anton stayed on the sidelines of the general investigation, waiting for the right moment to act.

"Did the demon really escape on the red moon?" That wouldn't make sense; it would have taken a few days before the number of victims increased in this way.

Anyway, Anton needed to gear up, so being in a Light Association base, he entered the armory. Wearing a special black combat suit, Anton changed into his exorcist outfit, which was much better, and began filling the magazines with high-caliber cartridges.

Two of the most powerful supernatural creatures in the world are demons, as they possess much more developed powers than any other existing supernatural being and have a direct connection to darkness.

"Please, let's not make deals with the demon." That is the request that any priest makes to believers, whether or not they are followers. It was said that they must take the existence of these creatures very seriously because they are very dangerous.

Looking at himself in the mirror, Anton attached several magazines to the front and then took some silver grenades, blessed them with his blood, and began checking his weapons.

Anton looked at the pistol in his hands and, looking at the report on it, knew it was a very good choice.

The STI Combat Master 9mm Parabellum pistol features a 5.5-inch barrel, an ionbond-coated barrel that reduces friction and increases durability, an oversized slide, adjustable sights, ambidextrous safety, competition trigger, oversized magwell, and a 22-round magazine.

Although he also carried his Desert Eagle, Anton needed something quieter, so he would use this pistol for the moment. As for the rifle, he would use a modified Taran Tactical TR-1 with a holographic sight and only an emergency-shortened shotgun.

"Sir, the investigation team is ready. Do you also want to mobilize the special forces of the association?" A man in a suit said nothing as he saw how Anton was arming himself because he had been in contact with hunters.

"Not yet; the demon shouldn't be very strong, so we'll just pick up the kid and the monk. We'll have to put the black eye in a safe place, and after that, hunt down the demon." Anton said as he put on gloves.

After finishing arming himself, he stored the Taran Tactical TR-1 rifle in a holster and left the armory. Walking to the parking lot, he handed the holster with the weapon to Yoshio and said, "Stay close; I'll need that weapon if things get tough."

"Don't you want me to participate in the field?" Yoshio was interested in experiencing more things; his training should give him that possibility.

Anton shook his head. Perhaps very few know what it means to face a completely reborn demon, but even with high-caliber firearms, simple humans couldn't scratch a demon.

"Stay on the sidelines; let's go."

"Understood, Guardian!"

A few minutes later, they arrived at some quite run-down houses, but no one cared about this, and getting out of the cars, Anton led the group of agents.

"It's in that house."

"Zz... one team goes to the back of the house; the other will enter with me from the front."

Walking without any concern, Anton reached the door and knocked as any civilized person would. "Excuse me, I'm here for something very important, so it would be a good idea for you to open the door."

Knowing the silence, Anton waited, and after a while, he said, "Monk Harry, we are the Light Association. If you don't open the door right now, we will enter by force."

"Wait!" A raspy voice came from inside the house, and Anton raised his hand so that no one made any strange moves. He smiled slightly and waited for the monk to open the door.

It was already late at night; it seemed that there was no one outside the house, so Anton knew that coming at this time was very risky, but he couldn't wait.
