Chapter 86 - The Climax

"Fire!"

Rafael, who was watching from a distance as Anton was sent backward, took a step forward, and alongside the agents, they fired without any information into the distant firestorm.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bowden, at this point, pulled out his weapon, aimed in the same direction, and fired without stopping until the bullets from his pistol were empty.

The vibration in the ground and surroundings was intimidating, but before the dark entity was eliminated, no one was allowed to leave this place, even if the building was on the verge of collapsing.

Anton, who was slumped on the ground, got up, enduring all the pain currently in his body. The wounds, concussions, and sensations were numbing his body, but he still walked towards the dark entity in the distance.

"In the name of light, I sentence you and command you to return to where you belong. Without light, there is no darkness, since sins in life are punished by the actions of fate, so you have no right to judge sinners in life," said Anton as he ran at full speed towards the partially destroyed body of the demon.

Stimulated by pain, Anton still leaped, and his hand with the blood cross collided with the demon's forehead, who immediately tried to push him away.

"Return to hell!" Anton shouted as he firmly pressed his hand against the demon's forehead.

Arghhhhh!!!!

The inhuman roars of the demon were heard by everyone, so Rafael, who wanted to provide support, led the way and then saw Anton completing the exorcism.

"Then, human, do you have the right to judge human sins and kill them at your convenience? In the end, you're no different from me," said the demon before its body turned into ashes.

Seeing how the demon's body evaporated into the air, Anton looked at the man on the ground and, feeling that the darkness had disappeared, sighed in relief.

"Is it really over?" Rafael couldn't believe it.

But Anton, who didn't want to leave anything loose, picked up the revolver from the ground and shot the man in the head a few times while he lay motionless on the ground.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Secure the humans; all of them must be eliminated on this floor." Anton said it with a cold expression.

Upon hearing the cleanup order, all the bodies on the ground received several shots to the head.

"What do you think you're doing?" Bowden shouted, disturbed by seeing the bodies on the ground being finished off by these people.

"Stop!" Among the agents, many pointed their guns at Bowden while analyzing his behavior.

Everyone understood that the demon could be in the body of any human nearby, and cleanup means eliminating every living being. But there were exceptions, and those were the ones not marked; so, after eliminating those marked by the demon, an inspection was carried out on the unmarked to ensure they were not affected.

Any strange behavior would be considered a violation of the action rules, so they were just waiting for Anton to give the order to shoot, but not hearing anything, they just stood by.

"What do you do when an incurable infection spreads among people? These people are terminally ill patients, so we're just giving them a break. Do you want us to let them agonize?" Anton asked, staring at Bowden, who fell silent.

For others, this is cruelty, so they agreed to eliminate any incurable humans in this place.

"Victims, sacrifices, and choices are part of my job; this is how the world works and has been working in your better moments when you were happy," Anton said as he walked towards the outer corridor to exit the building.

"It's your turn now to live with the truth of the world, my friend. Good luck with that."

Rafael signaled for everyone to lower their weapons and soon took charge of all the details to pass off what happened in this place as a terrorist attack.

Bowden, who only watched Anton walk towards the exit with all those wounds, knew he was the one suffering the most, so he didn't understand.
