Chapter 73 - Blood Debt

Night descended upon the city like a serene breeze, and criminal activities were known to be more abundant at night. Typically, those who worked honestly avoided going out at night, especially in less crowded places.

In the streets, there were codes: one does not harm hardworking people who are not involved in others' troubles. If one messes with innocent people, it could be considered collateral damage, but many others view it as a serious crime deserving cold-blooded murder.

Among professional assassins, very few would harm innocent people. Most were associated with dangerous mafias and drug cartels that kept a low profile to avoid drawing attention, but exceptions always existed. Very few chose to harm innocent people, mainly because you never knew whom you were dealing with, and that could be a major problem affecting an entire organization.

Montana Bar, a place famous for being open all day, including the careful night hours.

Although there were far fewer customers during the day than at night, there were still many people sitting around the bar or in bar seats, eating and drinking, and the atmosphere was relatively calm.

Three men sat in a corner of the bar with cold and somber faces, lifting glass after glass of wine to their mouths.

The malevolent aura around them was clearly visible, and no one dared to approach them, not even looking at them for fear of disturbing them.

Standing behind the bar was a middle-aged man cleaning wine glasses. He glanced at the guests in the distance and at the three people drinking in front of them. "Drink less; don't affect my business."

Crack!

Among the three men, one with a beard and a particularly robust physique forcefully smashed his wine glass against the bar and shouted coldly, "Damn it, because of those bastards, now I have to endure the boss's punishments!"

The middle-aged man looked at him, and his words were not polite. "Arrogant idiots, I warned you that sooner or later, you would face a man you couldn't defend against, so dying under that premise is only natural. Richard, you better keep a low profile for a while until this storm passes."

"Don't mess with me; I'm not willing to put up with that crap!" Richard said solemnly, seemingly the leader of the three. "If I don't settle the score today, I won't be able to answer Abram Tarasov about what happened here."

Speaking of this, Richard's cold eyes focused on the middle-aged man. "Have you found the killer who killed my workers and the others? If those useless idiots hadn't messed up, this situation wouldn't have escalated."

The middle-aged man stopped cleaning the wine glass, shook his head, and turned his gaze to the television. "The merchandise warehouse was completely burned after two in the morning. Not many bodies of the girls who worked there were found, so whoever did it likely has them."

"The cameras detected an old man entering, killing many of your men, and dying shortly afterward from the injuries. After that, no useful information could be obtained."

Richard frowned and asked, "Who is that damn old man?"

The old man smiled faintly and said, "You should consider yourself lucky that Abram Tarasov is not currently moving due to what's happening with his brother. Still, you have to be careful with any stupidity you plan to do from now on."

"I will gut all his grandchildren, kill his sons, and make love to his damned wives!" Richard said, clenching his teeth with resentment.

The middle-aged man shook his head and continued cleaning the wine glass. "The Tarasov family is investigating to determine whether to intervene or not, but you will get answers very soon, probably in the next few days."

Richard took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and said, "Regardless of what the higher-ups say, I'll end this before they have to intervene."

"That's what they hope for, too."

Tap-tap! Tap-tap!

At that moment, a bell rang at the door. The middle-aged man stopped cleaning the wine glass and turned to greet, but at that moment, he saw a man with a helmet completely covered in black, holding a piece of paper in his right hand.

The middle-aged man frowned and unconsciously wondered what strange character had visited them late at night. He already felt that something was wrong in his heart. And when he saw the weapons on the man's suit, he shouted to remind his companions.

"Richard!!!"

But at that moment, the man had already confirmed it. He raised his completely black Desert Eagle, aimed it at the middle-aged man in front of him, and pulled the trigger without any hesitation.

Bang!

A single shot was enough to completely shatter the head of the middle-aged man. Many might consider that firing a single shot from the Desert Eagle would cause a lot of recoil, but the man's hand that fired didn't even move.

"Ahhhhh!"

"Everyone, run!"

When the gunfire started, all the customers in this bar panicked. They instinctively dove and took cover, and suddenly the bar turned into chaos.

At the same time, Richard's trio, who heard the gunshot, were surprised and prepared to counterattack.

But they didn't even have a chance because, one second after that, the man already had them in his sights.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The next three shots hit the chests of the three men, one by one; they were killed without even being able to draw their weapons, and the high-caliber bullet shattered their chests upon impact.

After emptying the entire magazine into Richard's chest, the man covered from head to toe smiled behind his helmet and said, "He who lives by the sword dies by the sword; live better in your next life."

After finishing the shots, he reloaded the gun and shot directly at the security cameras.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After knocking down the three cameras, the man looked at the trembling guests inside the bar, turned around, and quickly left the scene by getting on a motorcycle.
