Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: People Live Troubled Lives

Adellum Coordinate (Yien's Domain): Space

A gigantic spacecraft was on its way to an unknown destination, the low whirs of rocket thrusters cutting through the currents of space. The spaceship was extremely large and long. The ship's hue is dark silver, with red lights on the underbelly from the rocket thrusters. The ship is pointed both at the front and rear, but the backside has a pointy crest-like form linked to it. Many throughout the universe recognized this spacecraft as the one and only Purgatory, a ship feared by all who knew about it. The ship wasn't alone. It was escorted by a convoy of smaller vessels, each of which was rather big. These spacecraft, which comprised The Divine Solace's entire fleet, were known as Banshee Crusaders. Sentinel Commanders, who rank above normal Sentinels, were given a small armada of Banshee Crusaders upon promotion, and what could be seen in the Adellum Coordinate at the time was Purgatory, along with its armada. A truly terrifying sight...

Purgatory's Bridge

A man was running through the hallway upon entering the bridge. The environment around him was gloomy, with bright lights and buttons decorating tables and walls alike. Many individuals were on the bridge, either working on something or speaking with one another; they were all dressed in black. Men and women both wore a two-piece pair of trousers and a button-up shirt with a collar, finished off with a black visor. The man running through the bridge wore an all-black suit with a crimson tie that matched the color of his long, spiky hair, which stood out against his pale complexion. The individual exhibited heterochromia, with the left eye red and the right yellow, and each eye had a crimson stripe beneath it. After racing to the front of the bridge, the man came to a halt in front of another man.

???: "I am assuming you have something to report, Heath." The man at the front of the bridge said.

Heath Reed: "Yes sir, I do." He said, taking a deep breath after his running. "Soe Sanzo has confirmed the death of Oliver Kauko, and he has made it off of Somniet."

???: "I see. Where is he headed to now?" The man turned around to face Heath.

Heath: "The trackers that we had installed on the two ships are saying that they are currently on Boketto, specifically in the city of Tsukimi."

???: "And what is the status of Solart City?"

Heath: "The city is struggling to find a new chief, and Kowai has been found guilty of some more crimes connected to the deaths of a few kids who lived in the city."

???: "That does not surprise me, coming from a group of pigs such as them." His voice shook with disgust.

Heath: "What should we do now?" He awaited an order.

???: "Send someone to Tsukimi. We must eliminate Kowai, they know too much just as Oliver Kauko did."

Heath: "You sound troubled, Master."

???: "People live troubled lives, Heath, now go. We must be hasty." He then turned back around, looking out into space.

Heath: "Yes, master." He then ran off, the same way he came in through.

As Heath hurried through the hallways of Purgatory, he saw several individuals wearing the same uniforms as those on the bridge. He came to a halt in front of a door labeled Training Room after walking a long distance down one of the passageways. Heath placed his palm on the scanner, which was positioned on the wall outside the entrance. His hand was scanned, and the door opened for him. He stepped inside and approached the rear wall. All around him were individuals of various human and demi-human species, each practicing for something. Whether it was strength and agility, stamina, or mental training, everyone appeared to be working hard at their job. Once Heath reached a certain person, he stopped.

Heath: "Koah." He spoke to the person as they stood in dim lighting. "The Commander requested that I give someone the task of going to Tsukimi and eliminating Kowai, and I feel as if you are more than capable of doing so."

The demi-human then stepped out into the light, revealing that this "Koah" was a woman, and of demon heritage. She had huge horns on top of her head that curled at the top, and her hair was long, braided, and light gray. Her eyes were vivid purple, with black marks beneath each eye and a purple stone put in her forehead to complement her blue skin. Her lips were thick and her nose had a sparkling tip. Her armor consisted of a breastplate constructed of many layers of metal that resembled dragon scales. It covered everything from the neck down to the crotch. The armor had a pretty broad neckline that was partially visible.

Koah: "It will be done, Sir." She then nodded her head in obedience to Heath.

Ofrhöggr, Tsukimi landing port

The landing port in Tsukimi was much larger than the one in Camcourt. All of the docking bays were large enough for a single ship to land in, but there were hundreds of them in this part of the harbor. There are 12 sections in all, with hundreds of docking bays available for ships to land, however this is only one of several ports in the city. Each bay has a personal assistant who helps unload goods and clean the ship stationed in their bay, as well as guards who keep an eye on the ship during the day and night. The port also features a massive conveyor system that transports damaged ships to a different wing of the harbor, where they are repaired or destroyed.

Rowan: "All right everyone, who is ready to get moving?" She stood in front of Ofrhöggr, with her hands placed on her hips.

Dawn and Yakumo stood in front of her, visibly fatigued. Nunto was simply floating about Yakumo's head.

Rowan: "Come on! Where is the enthusiasm?" She had a smirk on her face, evidently pleased with herself for apparently annoying the two.

Yakumo: "Yeah yeah, woohoo, Tsukimi yay!" She muttered sarcastically before heading out of the port, Nunto floating after her.

Dawn: "She seems excited." He said to Rowan before following Yakumo.

Rowan: "Why are you following her?" She yelled, and dashed to the front of the group to take the lead.

Once the group made it outside of the landing port, they were met with an astounding view of Tsukimi. Dawn had only heard stories of the metropolis, which was vast. Tsukimi was incredible. With what appeared to be thousands of buildings lighted with millions of lights, the metropolis was as dazzling as day even at night. Boketto's moon, Unah, appeared considerably bigger on the surface. At this point, the group was merely outside the landing port, but there was a lengthy bridge in front of them that connected the port to one of Tsukimi's four main gates. In the heart of the city stood a large citadel-like structure with another million lights, surrounded by a plethora of buildings and towers.

Rowan: "Ah, it is great to be back!" She stood in awe at the metropolis, a brilliant smile on her face, her arms extended to both sides of her body.
