Chapter 9 - Exam

"So how is your relationship with her Majesty going? Are you polite to her? You didn't anger her?" Abigail asked question after question, and Jax could only smile wryly. He can't say that he is talking to the queen using her name, and he is using her to get materials, and slaves.

"It's not bad, we are getting along." He lied through his teeth." Btw, mom, dad. I have something for you both." Haytham and Abigail were surprised but also curious. Jax took out a small box, and when he opened it, they saw two syringes with strange liquid inside.

"What's my child?" Asked Haytham.

"Well, this is something I created. It's called [Greater Regeneration Serum]. It gives you the ability to regenerate most damages, your stamina will be increased." he winked at his father, who didn't say anything, but Jax saw sparkles in his eyes." Also, you will need to eat a lot, but at the same time, you will never get fat." When he said that last part, he looked at his mother, and her face blossomed into a big smile.

"Okay, so how should we use it?" Asked Abigail, and Haytham nodded. Jax was happy inside that his parents trust him fully.

"Stick out your arms, I will stick it in your vein and inject it." They did that, and Jax injected serum into them. "For a few days, you can feel weak, but it will be gone soon. It's advised for you to take a break or work less." He talked more with his parents, until they felt sleepy and went to bed. He stood up and went to his room. Pain he was feeling wasn't that bad, but it was annoying to feel each step and move or even blinking to be painful. He lay on his bed.

"I planned all this time, but I didn't take into account that your fragments could affect it. Quite stupid for someone with the ability [Genius] to not think about it, don't you think?"

'Jax, you are just a child, sure you have the mind of an adult, but your soul needs to sync with your body, which causes you to not be a full adult. But it's not important, you can't predict everything. Our main bodies couldn't predict that you would swallow their fragments. We are Gods and we couldn't predict it. Just take your time, cherish people you love, spend time with them, live to your fullest, and now sleep Jax' said Shiro, to which Jax fallen asleep.

'Shiro, he should know' said Herodot

'I know, but he is too young. He just took the first step on his path.'

....

Abigail and Haytham felt better a few days later. Them being weak because of the serum is caused by them not having [Adaptive Body] and, because of the class of the serum. People Jax killed, could use serum abilities so fast, because he injected them with a different formula that had the same effects, but as a price for how fast they could use it, their lifespans were shortened, by at least 10%.

Jax spent time with them playing games and talking. He didn't go to his workshop and just spent time with his family, and talking with Shiro and rest. And finally, at 7 day he got notification.

[Influencing [Superior Regeneration Serum] was completed. New ability is granted [Perfect Regeneration] ]

[Host gained [Divine Orc Lineage] which grants the Host with [Divine Sense], [Divine Body], [Divine Power], and [Limit Breaker] ]

"I hope I will not get additional teeth, green skin, etc.," said Jax

[When Host gains lineage, you only get abilities and skills from it. Your looks aren't changed by it.] System explained.

"Okay, so I can now make 'that' without waiting" Jax stood up and went to his workshop. He picked up a lot of different magic stones and aura stones. Aura stones are the same as magic stones, but they are filled with aura instead of mana.

'Are you going along with the original idea, or do you want to upgrade?' asked Sabrina. This idea was something they did together.

"I will change it, instead of [Superior Regeneration] I got [Perfect Regeneration], and my plan was based on [Greater Regeneration]. I need to change it"

He activated the furnace in his workshop. After the temperature reached a high enough level. He took some different pieces of metals, and put them together into the pot. He placed them into furnace and waited until they completely melted. Then he poured metal into the mold. When he waited for it to cool down, he took some tools, and started to work with stones, he cut them into a more square shape. It took him some time to work with every stone. He had countless processed stones. When mold calmed down, and he opened it. It was a big, round plate. He started to carve holes and paths into it. When he finished, he wiped sweat from his forehead.

"The most tiresome part is behind me, and now it's the hardest part." He started to place all the stones into the holes he created into plate. When he finished, he started to channel mana into the plate, which started to glow, and a few moments later it started to shrink. Jax controlled mana the entire time. When he finished, plate was size of his palm.

"Okay, now I only need to put this into case" Jax took from the desk, already prepared case. It was something that looked like the pocket watch. He opened it and put plate inside and closed it. He then put it on his neck using chain that was attached to it.

"So either I succeed or I explode." He used some mana to activate the plate. He felt that different types of energies started to invade his body.

[Magical energies are invading Host body. [Adaptive Body] tries to adapt]

[Magical energies injured Host body]

[ [Perfect Regeneration] healed the host body.]

"It's working, but it stings as hell"

'You dare to complain!? Normally, a person would be dead in a few minutes or mutate into some abomination.' Sabrina said.

"Well, I can always complain, also how long do you think it will last?" He asked.

'Depends, looking at how much energy goes into powering it up, and how much it releases over time, I think two or three years, but you will for sure increase how much its release, so maybe half a year.' Sabrina said, shaking her head.

"Now I just need to wait for the letter from the academy about me skipping grades." Jax went to bed.

...

Few days later at the academy.

"So, Jax, you want to skip grades?" It was a dean of academy William. He was a man in his 30s. He had blonde hair and brown eyes, wore elegant suit.

"Yes, sir, my knowledge is beyond junior or middle and late." Jax said it without arrogance or pride. He just stated a fact. William wanted to say something, but it was a request from her majesty to allow him to take a test.

"Sure, go with me, if your knowledge is really so high, you say, we will talk after the exam." They went to a small room. In that room two people were already waiting. One was a big man with scars all around his body, on his belt he had a sheathed sword. The other was an old man in robes, he had a very calm look and an aura of wisdom.

"Jax, this is Sebastian, head of the knight path, he is Grandmaster." He pointed at a man with scars, then he pointed at an old man." This is Merlin archmage and head of mage path. Skipping grades exams are important, also to ensure that no one break the rules, all of us must be here"

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir Sebastian, sir Merlin." Jax bowed down. They only nodded.

Jax went to the chair and waited until questions appeared. He then started to answer question after question. He finished it in an hour and handed it over. Trio started to read his answers. Test was divided into three parts, each part was connected to one stage. If Jax answered only the junior part, he would go to the middle academy etc. Jax answered all the questions. Trio started to ask him questions themselves.

"What happened in year 189?" William asked

"In that year war with..." Jax answered all the questions William and others asked.

"So what do you want to do?" William asked Jax. Jax's knowledge is beyond academy.

"I want to stay at the academy. I will just skip general knowledge, and other things I know. Academy library can be useful for me, also I need to have some training." Jax could theoretically get everything from the Gods, but they have restrictions placed on them, because they are only fragments, and he doesn't want to rely on them for everything.

"Sure, go ahead, for now, just go to your home, we need to fill out documents." Jax said goodbye to them and went home.

"He is a monster." William sighed, others nodded.

"His knowledge is beyond what I have seen in all my years." Merlin replied.

"I'm more curious what path he will take, we can all agree he will go to either knight or mage" said Sebastian.

"I agree, btw, don't you try to escape from paperwork," William said when he saw that Merlin and Sebastian wanted to exit the room.' Why do I need to do the paperwork? I am head of the knight/mage path of academy, I am beyond it'
