"Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now?" Ian asked as he loaded the bullets into his gun.
"Because you are kind?" Owen answered. His panic grew as Ian started to point the gun in his direction. "Because there will be no one to greet Scarlet and escort her to your office like I do."
"Any idiot could lead her here," Ian said, keeping the gun pointed. "What did I do to deserve being stuck with you?"
"You saved my life and I didn't ask you to do that," Owen replied, remembering how they met. He was close to dying and Ian was pissed off about something which led to him shooting Owen's attacker.
Owen continued, "I still remember how I tried to run and you fired a warning shot to get me to stop."
Ian looked up at Owen, wondering what he meant by a warning shot. That was one of the few times he had missed his shot. He didn't want any survivors at that time but then Owen started to ramble on and on about Ian owning his life.
