"Why won't this open?" Beth muttered, trying her hardest once more to get the window in her room opened. "Ah," she groaned after one of her nails broke.Β
Beth left the window, now having to tend to her bloody finger. She wasn't allowed to open the windows to have fresh air come in as they feared she would climb down and run away. They were right but Beth wished they would be so foolish to give an opening so she would get away from this hell hole.
"How long have I been here?" Beth wondered.
When the butler came to give her food none of her questions were answered. She didn't have the slightest clue if there was anyone concerned about why she was not seen around the town. Was there even anyone to care that she was missing?
