Mia
Walking into our kitchen and seeing Logan with no shirt on but just a white colored apron tied around his neck and then his waist, was the most appealing sight of the morning.
I looked at Mum who seemed eager waiting for whatever Logan was making.
'"Come have a seat" he commanded me. He didn't even look in my direction while he said that.
Sexy, arrogant jerk.
I just watched how his muscles and biceps synchronized and I was left in awe, why was he so hot this early in the morning?
"Come sit down and stop drooling over Logan" my mum said shamelessly
"Mum!" I exclaimed
"I saw you too" Logan said
"What are you doing here?" I asked him avoiding his gaze
"Making you breakfast" he said
"I don't remember asking you to" I told him
"You don't need to ask me, I'll take care of you" he said like he was good at taking care of people.
"Yes, I can see you are very good at doing that. What an irony" I scoffed in annoyance
"Honey" Mum scolded
"What mum? What are you even doing? why did you let him in here? So what? he is just going to walk in here, make breakfast, and act like all is well? No, I refuse to pretend while I'm hurting. I just lost my appetite" I said before getting up to leave.
"And I think you should leave" I turned back and said to Logan before walking out on him and Mum.
"Don't worry, she's just hurting" I heard my mum comforting Logan in the kitchen.
" know, what should I do?" I heard him ask as I stood at the corner.
"Just give her time" mum said.
"More ketchup?" Logan asked mum
"Yes, sure. My daughter is in very safe hands" mum complimented him
"Ughh!" I sighed frustratedly
I went into my room to freshen up and head out. Logan was still around when I finished.
"I'm heading out" I said, looking at Mum only.
"No school today? Where are you going?" Logan got up from his seat and started to approach me.
"What are you now? my dad, my guardian. Just stop" I said.
"I know I did you wrong Mia. Haven't you punished me enough for it?" he asked me
"I don't have the energy for this right now" I said and moved out the front door.
"Stop acting rude towards me" he yelled
"Why did you come here? I don't want to see you so get lost" I said and I know I sounded a bit harsh.
"What do you want? I won't see Selena anymore, this time for good and I mean it. I won't let her come anywhere near me, please Mia" he begged me
I just stayed quiet.
"Mia please, baby I'm sorry" now when he says it like that, holding my hand, looking and sounding desperate for my forgiveness. I was tempted but I'm still mad.
"I'm not sure. I've seen how you act when she talks to you" I said and started to walk away from him, he didn't follow me
"I will give you a little more time then" he said and started to walk into the house when suddenly some guys in black outfits and masks grabbed me and started to shove me into a van.
They were so fast that I didn't have the time to react or fight back but I managed to scream Logan's name just before the van took off.
"Mia" Logan yelled and attempted to run after the van.
Did I just get kidnapped?…..
Logan
"Susan, Susan" I called twice with a panicked voice as I entered the house.
"What's wrong Logan? Why are you breathing like that? Are you having a heart attack? Did you and Mia get into a physical fight?" she asked me
"I wish that was the case" I said as I crunched down in shock
"There was a van, everything was very fast. I couldn't stop them, I couldn't help her, they took her, she was yelling and calling for me" I said rushing with my words.
"She was calling out my name" I murmured again
"What are you talking about? Who did they take and what van?" Susan asked me
"It's Mia. I think she just got kidnapped. Oh my God, that was what just happened" I said as the realization hit me.
"Someone kidnapped my daughter?" Susan asked me in shock.
"Yeah I think so" I said
"Don't worry, I will take care of this. Let's make a few calls" I told her
"Ok, I'll make a few calls too" she said
"You don't look too frightened after this news" I told her
"I am frightened, Logan. Just that I'm not new to doing this" she said
"By this you mean?" I asked her even though I feared the answer
"This is not the first time Mia has been kidnapped and she escaped most of the time, her father saves her the rest of the time" she said
"My God, what type of life have you and Matéo been giving Mia?" I asked
"That's not my fault, blame it on her dad" she said
"And I feel more sorry for those who have kidnapped her, if she succeeds in escaping" she said
"You should go home and do what you want to do, I'll call Matéo" Susan said to me.
"I'm not going anywhere, what if they come back for you?" I started
"You're sweet. I will be upstairs" she said

"Sir" Hector called
"Mia has just been kidnapped, look into it. I need express information" I commanded
"Where did that happen?" he asked me
"Right in front of her house" I told him
"Ok sir" he replied
Just then Matéo walked in.
"Where is Susan?" he asked me as soon as he got into the house.
"She is upstairs" I said
"Is that Connor guy here?"he asked me
"No, it's just me" I answered
"Good because I don't like him" he stated
"It's not good that you hate him, he did nothing wrong" I told him
"You think I don't know that, that's exactly why I said I don't like him because he did nothing wrong, because he is everything I am not and he is everything I wish I could be" he said
"That's a big confession right there. So did Susan call you?" I asked him
"Yes she did" he answered
"Susan, Matéo is here already" I called her
"So they took my baby girl" he said
"Yeah I think that's what happ" I replied
"What did you see?" he asked me
"Everything happened so fast" I said
"It always happens very fast, but what did you manage to see the princess?" he asked me
"That's insulting" I said in anger when he called a princess
"Just so you know I don't like you either" Matéo said
"Well neither do I" I said
"So how is this going to work between you and my daughter when we don't get along?" he asked me
"So you think I care that you don't like me?, the only thing that matters is if Mia loves me because I love her so much" I said
He looked at me and smiled.
"But you cheated on her a few weeks ago" he said and I stayed quiet.
"I didn't cheat on her. We weren't in a relationship yet" I said
"Is that your defense line?" he asked in annoyance and moved forward to pin me against the wall.
"You knew she had feelings for you, you showed yourself to us at the hospital but you slept with someone else" he said strangling me while he spoke.
I tried to break free but to no avail. I just got cornered by a mafia boss.
"Let go of him Matéo, do you want to kill him?" Susan rushed to our side
"He hurt Mia" he said
"Let go of him" Susan yelled
"Are you okay Logan?" Susan asked me, rubbing my back.
"I'm okay Susan" I said
"You want to kill the man your daughter loves?" she asked in shock
"Of what good is her love for him if he doesn't value it?" Matéo said pacing
"I love her" I said. I have never been more convinced that I love Mia.
"Then tag Mia's name on your pants, if it happens again I'll kill you myself even if she hates me for it" he said, scaring the hell out of me.
"He's not bluffing" Susan said
I scared my employees and many other people, yet here I was, matéo scared me.
The atmosphere was now calm.
"Mia told you I hurt her?" I asked in a small voice.
Matéo sighed.
"She didn't, Susan did" he said
"Susan?" I was shocked
"What?" she exclaimed
"I thought you were rooting for me" I asked her
"I am. But we are her parents and when she comes crying, we talk about it" she said
"You guys are weird" I said
"My enemies didn't do this" Matéo said to Susan
"How can you be so sure?" I asked hi
"They are more intrepid, they don't cover their faces, they don't use vans for kidnapping. This was done by someone from here" he stated.
"So what do we do now?" I asked them
"We wait and see if they call us" Susan said
"We wait?" I asked her
"Do you have a better idea?" she asked me but I was quiet.
"If you said this was done by someone from here, then I think I might have a suspect" I said
"Please don't tell me it might be Selena, is she capable of doing something such as kidnapping?" Susan asked me and I nodded
"Who is Selena?" Matéo asked
"His ex" Susan told him
"So she sleeps with you and then kidnaps my daughter?" Matéo stood up
"I feel sorry for her" Matèo said
"Me too" Susan simply added
"What?" I asked them both
"Call her up and put the phone on speaker" Matéo instructed and I did as I was told
Selena answered on the third ring.
"I knew it wouldn't take you long enough to figure out what I did" she said
"I swear I will kill you if you hurt Mia" I said
"Calm down, this is not how things are done. You are supposed to ask me what I want in order for me to set her free" she said
"What do you want?" I asked
"You" she said
"This Selena girl is a psycho" Matéo said out loud
"You have company, who's that?" she asked
Matéo took the phone
"The person who is going to package your body and send you to hell if you don't return his daughter" he said
"Oh!, you are the daddy?" she laughed
"I have heard about you, I did some findings on you. Do you know double M" Selena asked him
"Marco Martinez?" he asked Selena
"You do know him" she laughed
"He says hi, you remember him don't you?" Selena said
"He has Mia. You can call it teamwork, that's what we did. I wanted to get Mia and he wanted you" she said
"If you want to see your daughter again, do everything I will send in the incoming text" she instructed before hanging up
"Who is this Marco Martinez?" Susan asked Matéo.
"The guy who tried abducting you when Mia was 10" he said
"Oh that one?" she asked
"Yeah, I killed one of his sons soon after to teach him a lesson" he said
"Yeah you did" was all Susan said
"Mia's kidnap somehow involves you then" I stated.
"He's the main reason I can't be with you guys, that's why I didn't try stopping you the last time you left. He's still trying to kill Mia even after all these years" he said to Susan ignoring what I said
"But he's no match for you, why haven't you killed him yet?" Susan asked and I was surprised
"That's the problem, he's as cunning as a fox. He's difficult to catch because he's very smart" Matéo said
"Then kill another son. He will come out of hiding" Susan said
"Susan you know it doesn't work that way with me, the blood will only continue but if I kill him, the rest of his army will surrender" Matéo said
"I thought you didn't support his lifestyle, why are you advising him to kill?" I asked Susan
"I didn't like his lifestyle but that's what he does and I know who I married. We would kill for our little girl" she said
"Believe it or not, Susan has killed before too, not once not twice" Matéo said
"You have?" I asked again. There's so much about this couple that I don't believe
"I have, it was an exciting experience, killing in order to protect Mia. I didn't kill innocent people, they deserved it. But I didn't want to get used to that life so I left" she said
"That's the real reason you left Matéo?" I asked
"Why else?" she asked and hugged him
"What about Connor, it's obvious you love Matéo" I asked
"I love him, Mat is fine with that. He's my first love, but we both know we are better off not being together" she told me
"You guys" was all I could say.
