Chapter 11 - Bullet #9: Secret surveillance and easy respite

The room was wide and very spacious. There wasn't a lot of furniture in it, mainly a desk, chairs, a bar sideboard, and a couple of bedside tables. But what stood out most was the huge bed in the middle of the room. It was called a two-seater, although in fact, it could accommodate 6 people if it lays down as a jack.

The naked girl lay on this very bed and caught her breath. A man loomed over her, however, comparing him to an ordinary man would be disrespectful to the former. The individual in question had shrunken skin that had sunk into his body, flabby arms and legs; if you had seen him in person, you would most likely have thought that he hadn't eaten for a month. And yet, an incredible aura of danger emanated from him, which even the girl lying under him had to withstand.

The man leaned over the girl's chest and pulled his tongue over her small breast, deliberately catching her nipple. The girl let out a slight moan. And although this quiet sound lasted only an unfortunate one and a half seconds, one could immediately understand from it that the libertine was clearly enjoying these caresses. The scene played out in the blue glow of a night light.

The door swung open and a soldier with a slightly distorted face and dark yellow skin and small goat horns walked in. Upon entering, he got down on one knee.

- Long live the great Alzur! I have a message for you, sir.

- How many times have I told you not to interfere with me during my vacation!

The man's voice was grunting, like that of a seventy-year-old man, but at the same time very loud, so loud that even the deaf could hear his cry.

- I beg your pardon, oh great lord, but the general said it was urgent.

- He doesn't decide what's urgent and what's not! While I indulge in pleasure with this beautiful succubus, no one dares to bother me and say that there is something more important than my peace.

- And yet, I am obliged to convey his message.

- Then speak quickly, I still have a couple of plans for her, and I don't want to waste time.

- A dangerous person was spotted in your domain. Signs: white clothes with red elements and the same white hair.

- And why is he dangerous?

- At the moment, according to our intelligence officers, he dealt with the alpha individual of Bared, Friral, and a rare white snake, taking all their remains and taking them to a certain place.

- Theseare too unnecessary news, get out!

- The problem is that his power is growing too quickly and it is not clear why. He was also seen in contact with the mountain artisan, Kagor.

- Does this handicraft worker owe us anything?

- We dug into the archives and found out that Kagor was a participant in the third and fourth revolutions. In the latter he forged weapons for our soldiers. So rather, we are indebted to him.

- Interesting, what kind of connection do they have?

- As far as we found out, the "white person" takes all the materials collected from the animals to the master, and presumably receives something in return, but we haven't fully figured out what. The person was seen wearing a silver communication ring and a gold bracelet for transportation. Presumably these are things provided to him by Kagor. But this reward is too low for the materials provided; Kagor must be giving something else to this "white".

- Okay, continue surveillance, report to me about the "white" first, I allow you to do this at any time.

- I understand you, sir, I don't dare distract you anymore.

Rising from his knees, the soldier left the room, closing the door behind him. The man sat down on the bed, no longer showing interest in the lady waiting for him, and took a thoughtful pose, building something in his ugly, shrunken head.

- "White" is getting stronger? Do they think he might pose a threat to me? How naive... No one can defeat me, a member of the First Twelve, Alzur, on my own territory...

I woke up, this time it was more pleasant to rest than the first time. I glanced at the corner where I had placed the snake. It was not there, Kagor must have already taken it to pieces. What an insatiable artisan... After I stood up and slightly warmed up, the owner of this place came out of the door in the corner of the cave.

- Greetings, what is this door and where does it lead?

- My storage room for materials, but now I use part of it as an incubator for yesterday's eggs.

- It's clear.

- Don't you dare steal anything from the warehouse. If you steal it, you will regret it.

- I don't even doubt it...

Although, I wouldn't mind stealing a couple of ingredients for new abilities, but it's better not to spoil relations with those who help me achieve my goals.

- Perhaps you will give me some work again today?

- Towards evening, but for now, I'll do for you a new weapon. I must repay you for the snake, as I promised.

- Okay, then... can you make me a Barrett m82a1?

- Yes, you'll have to wait.

The Barrett is a very good and high-quality sniper rifle. Designed for prone shooting, but I don't care about that. It reduces recoil well and penetrates armor up to 70 cm. It is an ideal device for survival in hell and for hunting local beasts.

I had to wait a long time. And what's most disgusting is that I couldn't entertain myself with anything other than turning my hand into a firearm and back. I asked Kagor if he had any books, to which he replied that everyone gets the information they need through the core and books, like for people, are not needed. I couldn't connect to the core because I didn't know how this process should take place. Even though Kagor tried to explain to me how to do it, I didn't understand a damn thing.

- Phew, finally finished. Hold your new toy.

The sniper rifle was quite heavy. 9 kilograms. The weight is large, but it will quickly lose itself. Having absorbed my new weapon, I immediately took on its appearance for my hand. Looks pretty good.

- And so, now the task.

- Will this be a task where I can test my new gun?

- Yes. You're already familiar with Frirals, aren't you? So, recently their alpha showed up in the area. Most likely it was interested in the murder of a relative. Your task is ... you most likely have already figured it out...

Just be careful. Alphas, although larger than ordinary individuals, are much faster and more agile. Shoot it in the head. If you miss, it will disappear, or simply cause you unnecessary problems. Got it ?

- Yeah, I'm off.

- Wait, I haven't told you where it is yet.

- The enemy will not say in advance where he is. I have to find it myself.

- Um... yes... you're right.

I left the cave and, making the most of my run, in one jerk I climbed the eagle totem standing next to the cave. This is the best viewpoint in the area, it's a pity there is no haystack below, it would be very epic. Using Barrett's scope, I scanned the area. Before me were views of a previously visited meter-high forest, icy wastelands bordering the desert, how does this even work? And most importantly, I found the alpha. Walks not far from the place of my battle with his relative. Well, it's time to take the trial shot. Aimed, held the breath, and... *shot*

Affected points: cerebellum.

Ha, a perfect hit. I never miss my targets.

Having descended from the totem by jumping down (without breaking anything), I rushed to the killed Friral. I think Kagor won't be offended if I kill my appetite again. After trying this apple and celery mixture, I decided to test my running again and... I was moving at the same speed as a regular Friral. I consider this a successful hunt! Alpha weighed 50 kg, in comparison, a normal one weighed 10. I wonder what it is so stuffed with that it weighs so much? Ah, whatever...

- The shot was very loud. Did you hit it?

- Yes. - I said, dragging that carcass into the cave.

- Why didn't you put it in the bracelet?

- For what ? It's light.

For me it weighed almost nothing; there was no need for a bracelet.

- Now I have to do something to you for this loot, right?

- No, you shouldn't. The hunt wasn't hard, and Barrett was well made. Just accept the alpha.

- Thank you, Reigai.

- My pleasure.

- What new tasks are you going to give me now?

- I have nothing to load you with, there are no tasks, sit down and rest.

- What to rest from? If you can't give me any work, I'll go for a walk.

- Be careful outside.

- I'm not a child, fuck off.

He's already got me. Who am I to him, son? Heck, I won't follow his rules. I had to raise my son, not some random guy who was stuck on business. Hmm, I wonder if he has a family? Or maybe there was? He is silent about it. Although I didn't ask him...

Peace and tranquility reign in the mountains. That's why wise men flee from cities to mountains. Here you can't hear the mutterings of teenagers. Nothing pulls them here simply.

- My lord, I have new information for you about the "white".

- What's new?

Alzur was sitting on a black, slightly crimson throne in the middle of a dark reception hall. He was dressed in expensive clothes, clearly hinting at his status.

- A message has just arrived from the scouts. Our subject just killed the alpha specimen of Friral.

- And what's unusual about this?

- He did this with the help of weapon from the "world of Aral".

- Hmm, interesting, but why does the demon need human weapons? This is not practical. Continue exploring him, just don't get close. He may hide if he spots you. Get to work,...general.

- As you order, Lord Alzur!

What an interesting individual... perhaps he will soon become a great addition to my trophies...
