Chapter 4 - Bullet #2: A step forward is a step to nowhere

As the chief negotiator, I was given a whole limousine. They might not even bother. On one side I sat in my best clothes(and it doesn't matter that it looks exactly the same as my everyday clothes), on the other - my adviser, who, as needed, had to give me the necessary data, or just advice so that I wouldn't screw up. His face was a little better than that of the "honorable one." Sly eyes, downturned lips, his face said that he was indifferent to me, and I think this is not surprising. Almost no one in this clan liked me, but smiles begged to appear on their faces. They are simply not defective and their self-preservation instinct worked.

-How long do we have to go?

-In 10 minutes we will be at the collection point.

The adviser answered me with obvious dissatisfaction. As far as I know, his boss put him in charge of the supply of illegal substances. I'm sure he often used them himself, while no one was looking, and would have done so now if not for the order to keep an eye on me.

- Can you tell us in more detail about our today's friends ?

- Naturally, otherwise you will screw everything up. Our interlocutors today are members of the top of the "Night Peacock" clan. They are mostly friendly and stress-resistant, but you can make them doubt this.

- What do they usually do and what will today's conversation be about?

- They are engaged in the resale of weapons, they work closely with the Japanese armed forces, however, of course, the state is silent about this. The topic of the interview will be resolving the issue of cooperation between our clans and developing a common cause for further prosperity.

What kind of prosperity can we talk about if we have sunk into such a deep swamp? If we are talking about prosperity, then only if I become the main one. Okay, plus some motivation to pass this test.

6 minutes later we arrived at the place. It was a park. Which one specifically, I have no idea, I'm not the type of person who likes to hang around the neighborhood. The park was clearly not very popular. The people I saw could be counted on the finger of one hand. Okay, this is clearly a good place for a meeting of two bandit clans.

- Sir Yurei, our meeting place is located near that fountain.

- Are you sure that it's normal to hold a meeting near a fountain in the shape of a peacock?

- Of course, what's wrong?

- Aren't we in the territory of the "Night Peacock"?

- Yes, is there something you don't like?

Tactical mistake #1 - holding a meeting on enemy territory. Yes, they are supposedly not enemies for us, but I'm not happy about being in a territory where, in most percent of cases, we can acquire a not very lively appearance...

- Who appointed the meeting place?

- Peacocks.

Yeah, it's clear, these creatures like to play it safe. This means that they themselves are afraid of us, since they prepared this way. Wait, they seem to resell weapons, shouldn't they have plenty of them? Somehow the puzzle doesn't fit. Okay, I need to behave more naturally, but I shouldn't put off the eagles too far.

- Got ya, let's move on.

The table and chairs were already in their places, it didn't look suspicious at all...

Two chairs on each side - one for the representative, the second for the adviser. Prepared, damn scheißbälle*(1)...

- We've trampled so many centimeters, shall we sit down?

- It wouldn't be too polite, I suppose.

- Okay, you're right, let's wait standing, although it would be more pleasant to sit...

After literally a couple of minutes of waiting, two people approached us... just kidding. Two people came up to negotiate, and 30 meters from us stood 10 people with machine guns at the ready. I would recognize these guns anywhere: the M4, a NATO weapon manufactured in the USA since the 1980s. They got a good product.

- Sorry for taking such precautions, father is too cowardly when it comes to communicating with members of your group.

In front of me stood a girl about 17 years old, with bloody hair and dark blue eyes, height - 163 cm, weight - approximately 45.8 kg. Breast size - B. From her first remark, or rather the intonation with which she said it, it becomes clear that the girl is frivolous, with a mischievous character, and does not inspire seriousness. Yes, I can easily analyze any woman. Still, the work in the brothel paid off.

- My name is Kurai, I will not give my last name, because it could bring danger into the life of our master.

- Your last name can bring danger?...So, you are the daughter of the boss of the "Night Peacocks"?

-HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ? We prepared so much for this meeting...

Have I already said that she is frivolous?

- Okay, let's forget about this incident. My name is Reigai Yurei. I'm in the same position as you.

- Wow, we have a lot in common!

I feel that the meeting will be as childish as possible. According to the rules written a very long time ago, advisers are not named or introduced; they are only a background, auxiliary plan. Advisor of Ms. Kurai was wearing a classic white shirt with a blue tie and a black jacket with pockets. The shoes she wore were black high heels. Hmm, as for me - not the best shoes for a walk in the park. She also wore glasses with red frames and wore her chocolate hair in a braid. She looks like a typical office worker from the TV series.

- Let's start our interview!

- Yes, the sooner we start, the faster we finish.

She has a strange name. I wonder which parent suggested calling her "Darkness" and why?

- So, Mr. Yurei, I don't like to delay meetings of this nature, so I'll immediately explain the terms of our contract, after which the choice will be yours. Do you agree to this?

- Yes, start.

Looks like I hit the jackpot! Minimum chatter, maximum action and the post of gang leader is in my pocket like a fish!

- The main proposal for cooperation is the exchange of services and territories. In other words, according to our proposal, you allow transactions to be carried out in some pre-agreed territories of your clan, and in return our clan transfers to you 20% of the money received from the sale of weapons goods. Do you consider such a deal profitable?

- Quite, completely.

- Great, then, read the rules written in this agreement and sign here.

The rules written in the contract completely repeated what she herself had just explained to me, only it was written in a more abstruse, incomprehensible and even more official form than how I heard it.

Well, okay, it doesn't matter anymore, I just have to sign and I'll build new "13 bullets", the likes of which the world has never seen!

But as soon as I finished my signature, there was an explosion of considerable force, stunning me. I recovered 35 seconds after the concussion.

The flame flared up in the place of those ten guards who were monitoring the safety of their mistress. They were no longer in their place, and their remains in the form of torn bodies, internal organs thrown out and intestines hanging from trees created an extremely vomiting picture for an ordinary person. To me, this scene looked like a streamer of firecrackers released onto a New Year's tree, albeit 10 times tougher.

Kurai lay unconscious, as did our advisers. In the distance I saw a strange man, dressed from the waist down in a military uniform, above the waist his naked muscular body was covered with a huge number of a wide variety of scars. Maybe he once met a bear? Wait, what am I even thinking about right now?!

Although he was in military uniform, he was unlikely to be a real soldier of the Japanese Armed Forces. They seem to be making deals with the Peacocks. Although his uniform is not Japanese...

His gaze was bestial, full of rage, directed at someone unknown.

Sitting like a fool was mortally dangerous, so I tipped our conference table forward and quietly, without fuss, dragged three unconscious people behind it. when the job was done, I decided to continue tracking that warrior.

For a second I felt a terrible shock. In his hands he was holding a RPK*(2)... How did I not notice him right away? A deadly thing with a caliber of 7.62×39mm, firing up to 650 rounds per minute. This table will be ground into pieces. Wait, this is not a modern version of a machine gun. I saw this form and engraving only in textbooks when I was learning how to use weapons; this is the Soviet version from 1961, where did he get this museum exhibit from?

Both advisers had already woken up, Kurai was still lying unconscious. Her adviser tried to stir her up, but my adviser did not think about anything and simply ran away from the shelter, saving his thrice useless life. Having run just a couple of meters under a hail of bullets from that "soldier," the adviser fell dead, like a bag of sugar, bleeding at the same time.

From contemplating such a picture, the woman with glasses wanted to scream in horror, I had to cover her mouth. That shooter must never know that there are still people here.

A machine gun is a scary thing, but it's heavy, and if you're maneuverable enough, you can avoid death. I came up with a plan to get rid of that big guy, but I have to wait until the red-haired one returns to this world. It took about 2 minutes to wait for this moment. Meanwhile, our main target headed to the remains of the retinue and began collecting their organs in a special medical bag. Sick bastard, why would he do this?!

- What's going on, what was it?

- Madam, speak more quietly, we are in mortal danger...

Kurai was slightly puzzled by her assistant's words, but decided to listen.

- I have a plan on how we can escape from here. Let's listen carefully and don't interrupt me, okay?

Both women nodded.

- Great, the plan is very simple: I distract him by shooting back and running away in that direction, and when he turns towards me, you both will hide through his blind spot, is everything clear?

- I have a question.

Kurai decided to delay time.

- I'm listening.

- How are you going to shoot back, you don't have a weapon.

- Why did you decide that I would come unarmed to a meeting with people whom I had never seen?

-...no questions.

- Then we start on the count of three. 1...2...3 !

I don't have time to monitor the actions of those girls, so I'll concentrate on the main task. I ran in a circular path around the soldier. The target noticed me and began to slowly turn, raising the RPK in my direction. Taking out my two Desert Eagles, I fired 4 shots from each barrel, that is, I used half a clip from each pistol. Hit points: left collarbone, pancreas, radius of the right arm, right ear, left femur, center of the pelvis, left eyeball and the last shot I decided to aim at the temple - one of the thinnest parts of the skull.

A burst of machine gun fire started coming at me, and I rolled over and disappeared behind a concrete fence, which was an architectural fence for a fountain in this park. The first points of destruction I chose were those that would hinder his movements, and the last ones would finish him off. But why doesn't the machine gun fire die down? And judging by the impulse from the wall, it hits me directly, but it won't break through the wall, that's for sure. After waiting until his tape ran out and he went into reload mode, I jumped out from behind the fence...

...I...don't know what to say...the places from my shots on his body were wide wounds, from which copious 1.5 liters of blood oozed. But he stood there and reloaded his deadly machine without even raising an eyebrow, HOW?! I specifically aimed at his arteries so that he would become stiff from blood loss...

He had almost finished his reload, there was no time to think, I ran at him, shooting with both hands directly at his head and heart. Why won't you die? His head was smashed, but he was standing. Clearly, this is the end... A line of unbearable pain passed through me, I fell to the ground. Little by little losing the ability to think, someone turned off the light in my eyes...
