The soft hum of the classroom's air conditioner mingled with Mr. Sato's monotonous voice as Arata Shiro struggled to keep his eyes open. Daisuke Koichiro, his friend seated beside him, nudged him gently, but it was no use. Arata's eyelids drooped, and before he knew it, he was slipping into a half-conscious state.
"Arata," Daisuke whispered urgently, nudging him again as Mr. Sato's gaze fell upon them. "Wake up, man."
Blinking rapidly, Arata straightened in his seat, offering a sheepish smile to the professor, who arched an eyebrow in silent reproach. Gathering his belongings with a mumbled apology, Arata hurried out of the classroom, Daisuke following close behind.
Outside, beneath the bright sunshine filtering through the trees, they made their way to the S.R.AP research facility. Aoi Nanami, Professor Suzuki's daughter, greeted them with a warm smile as they entered, the rest of the team already deep in discussion.
"Sorry we're late," Arata said, sliding into a chair beside Kenichi Falcone, the engineer.
"No worries," Kenichi replied with a reassuring grin. "We were just getting started."
Together, they brainstormed ideas for their latest project: creating an artificial singularity. Laughter and excitement filled the room as they shared their thoughts and dreams.
But as they began the experiment, disaster struck. The machine overheated, sparks flying as it erupted into chaos. Amidst the confusion, Arata found himself exposed to a strange radiation, his body tingling with an unfamiliar energy.
With a blinding flash, Arata felt himself being torn away from everything he knew. When he regained consciousness, he found himself lying on the forest floor, surrounded by lush foliage and unfamiliar sounds.
Staggering to his feet, Arata realized he was no longer on Earth. This was a world similar to his own, yet distinctly different. And as he looked out into the dense jungle stretching before him, he knew that his journey was just beginning.
