Chapter 46 - Ch. 46: Leyline

I gulped, preparing to dodge his attack, but suddenly, the floor I was standing on shook and cracked, then slowly lifted up.

This is... A massive earthquake!

I staggered, trying to keep my balance, but the giant stone spear was still pointed at me, unaffected by the earthquake.

The spear shot towards me like lightning, slashing through the air with a terrifying roar.

At this moment, an electric purple glow enveloped my body, and I felt a powerful stream of energy flowing through me. Electro Vision!

I dodged to the side, avoiding the giant spear.

Then, I looked back.

The spear hit the ground hard, causing a small earthquake that shook the entire cave. Dust and smoke flew around me, obscuring my view.

As the dust and smoke slowly cleared, my heart almost stopped beating just looking at it.

The hole in the cave wall was so large, it was like the mouth of a volcano ready to spew hot lava. The giant stone spear I had dodged earlier had pierced the cave wall, and its sharp tip protruded out like a giant thorn.

I dared not imagine what would happen if I dodged too late.

I turned to her in fear.

Magic energy gathered around him, forming a vortex of wind that flashed wildly.

From that vortex, Geo's spears emerged one by one, swirling above his head like arrows ready to be launched.

This time, he created a multitude of small, glittering spears. It was as if a rain of arrows was about to rain down on me. A metaphor for an endless storm of bullets bursting from its outstretched hand!

A booming growl split the silence, like thunder shattering the sky. From behind the mound of the throne's ruins, I watched as lava gushed out, seeping like a rushing stream of hot lava. Puffs of smoke soared up, dancing around like a dragon awakening from its long slumber.

Leyline manipulation!

The Abyss Order was retrieving the memories of the past again!

I froze for a moment, stunned at the sight that seemed to paint a picture of horror itself.

The tiny spears created by the Abyss Order shot towards me like a relentless rain of arrows. They moved with lightning speed, creating a swish of wind that scratched my cheeks. I swung my weapon, spinning and deflecting one spear after another that came at me.

The sound of clanking metal chimed, singing a familiar symphony of warfare to my ears. However, the spears never stopped coming, like an unstoppable torrent.

I kept moving nimbly, dodging and parrying every spear!

This was endless!

I continued to move forward, trying to get closer to the Abyss Order that was still raining down spears unceasingly.

Nimbly, I spun around and dodged shot after shot that was fired. My weapon swung nimbly, slicing through the air to deflect like a dancer weaving through a hail of spears, following the rhythm of battle under my breath.

Suddenly, a giant wall loomed before me. Standing firmly like a giant barrier.

This!

Fucking Leyline!

I stepped on the wall with both feet and pushed my body backwards.

At this moment, suddenly a wide gaping hole appeared in the wall, like a gaping wound that was oozing blood. In that instant, a giant spear shot out and pierced the ground!

That was close!

Cold sweat soaked my entire body. With limping steps, I treaded over the rocks that were slowly sinking into the unforgiving flowing lava. Each of my footprints seemed to be immediately erased by the overflowing lava flow.

The Abyss Order stood in the distance, as if mocking and belittling my every attempt to get closer.

My footsteps echoed on the melting rocks. I kept moving forward!

Suddenly, however, hot lava spurted like poisonous arrows from beneath my feet. I was shocked.

Instantly, electrical energy flashed all over my body, protecting me with a brightly glowing veil of lightning. Electro Vision!

I ran, jumped, and dodged at speeds almost impossible for ordinary humans. Every burst of lava that hit me, I dodged swiftly. Rocks and dust flew as my feet landed on the ground, creating a blaze of lightning that sparked with every step I took.

Flashes of electrical energy sparked with every step I took, bringing me closer and closer to the Abyss Order. With a rush of breath, I leapt to lunge at the Abyss Order.

My sword swung forwards, emitting a sharp glint that shimmered in the Electro Vision light.

However, just before the tip of my weapon grazed his skin, he ducked, dodging my attack perfectly.

Damn it!

I gripped my weapon tightly once more. Electro Vision flashed brightly, its flash seemingly blazing with unstoppable ambition. Then, I slashed at it!

However, no matter how hard I tried, he always seemed to manage to read my movements, dodging my attacks nimbly and coldly.

She was crazy! I decided to retreat for a moment, contemplating other tactics while catching my breath. Just then, my tail-eye picked up on the suspicious movement of the lava flowing below.

Without warning, another burst of lava rushed towards me with uncontrollable fury. I dodged, dodging the first blast nimbly thanks to the Electro Vision still wrapped around my body.

From behind a wisp of smoke, I saw a huge boulder floating in the air, cloaked in a purplish aura that felt eerie. The giant rock moved quickly towards me, like a meteor ready to hit me mercilessly.

I tried to dodge, but my Electro Vision had weakened after I'd used it so many times to dodge attack after attack. The rock slammed into my body with devastating force, as if it had been struck by a giant bolt of lightning from the sky.

I tried to move, to struggle to escape. But it was all in vain.

Fuck...

Slowly, my vision blurred. Voices sounded increasingly distant and muffled, as if drowned in the puddle of darkness that surrounded me.

On the verge of my fading consciousness, I caught the silhouette of an approaching Abyss Order.

He grinned.

(POV: Third Person)

Charles lay face down, his breath held as a large boulder fell on him. However, with a single blink of an eye, his body was enveloped by a glowing purplish electric flash. Electro Vision.

In one powerful blow, the boulder shattered into pieces, leaving dust flying in the air.

With a calm movement, Charles cleaned his clothes from the debris. A long breath escaped his lips. His black eyes swept the surroundings, scrutinising every inch of the environment.

When his gaze fell on the Abyss Order standing before him, Charles brandished his sword decisively.

He, didn't say anything.
