Erin swallowed and spoke, "Is it too late to take another door now?"
"Don't fret, put on a protection spell, all of you."
Immediately, the ladies activated protection spells and a glow escaped their bodies as they did.
Tiagon sharpened the mana that surrounded him and took a step into the eerie unconventional room. Aarin was the first to go behind him then Turan, Erin hesitated but then entered and the large door of the room closed.
Erin felt her vision turn upside-down, she fell and so did the others but she landed safely on her feet on a wooden floor or maybe the roof as they as well were upside down. They were walking on the roofs.
The room felt a lot larger, like it was an open piece of land, bits of houses drifted around, large tables of wood and stone, wood, walls and staircases all floated in the new room.
A large wall came zooming at Tiagon, he braced himself for it and broke through the wall of concrete unaffected, the others dodged rocks and little sticks that came at them.
The room in itself was surrounded by a purple hue that didn't have a definite shape.
"I can see the door to the next room." Tiagon announced and pointed forward.
"I hope it isn't as crazy as this is." Erin commented.
They moved forward as they waded through rocks and pointy wood and a strange invisible resistance that struggled to hold them still.
They were halfway to the door when a creature fell through the roof otherwise the thing the team stood on, seemingly out of nowhere. Its white skin was exposed, and its grotesque physique displayed in all of its glory.
The thing, the monster that the room spawned was like a tall lithe man with a hunched back adorned with teeth the length of knives, it had both long legs and hands, all equipped with long claws.
The ladies immediately called forth their wands and took a cautious stance fixating their eyes on the creature.
The creature had no eyes, no protrusion on its face or whatever, they were all flat and white, and its bones leaned against its skin.
"RHAHHH!"
It roared opening its large maw and releasing sounds unknown to most creatures and then it stormed forth.
It crossed the distance between Tiagon and it in almost an instant, even Tiagon didn't predict such speed, his eyes widened in surprise as its claw swiped at him.
He suddenly appeared above, he had teleported out of the way but he could sense the cut that occurred where he was, even him wouldn't be unfazed by such an aggressive blow.
The female mages responded by raining their best offensive attacks on the monster, they all rained down powerful blasts of fire.
Tiagon landed behind the monster, a little smoke cloud blocked some of its features but Tiagon saw that it still stood.
It roared once more and ran forward, it lunged its mouth at Aarin, luckily she had predicted the trajectory of its attack and she created a Mana shield protecting herself from the attack but, the shield was no match for the beast's teeth and it broke apart almost immediately blasting away Aarin.
A powerful whirling wind erupted from below the beast beating it up and thrashing it around and then it went up in flames–a flame tornado.
The beast cried and after a few seconds, Tiagon undid the magic and the unholy thing fell to the roof, steam oozing off its skin, it appeared unmoving then it twitched and quickly spun to its feet like it didn't just receive a blast of powerful wind and fire.
Turan shot a continuous torrent of flame at it with a clenched fist pushing it back while Erin went to help Aarin who had gone unconscious.
The beast wailed over the high temperature storming on its skin, it held up its hands in protest and slowly walked forward.
Tiagon spotted its exposed back, he took a step and then leaped swinging down a chop of wind on its back.
The chop struck the beast and pushed it falling it on the ground. Turan continued with her fiery onslaught.
"So that's what this is about, its hide blocks against most magic." Tiagon concluded.
It did make sense, despite the onslaught of magic upon it, it had yet received a wound, it had thrashed about, wailed but no significant damage had been made.
Tiagon followed with multiple yellow lightning bolts on the lying beast. The powerful magic pushed it onto the ground. Its limbs thrashed about violently as pain stormed into it.
Tiagon threw up his hand instructing Turan to stop, he then got to the beast and looked down on it.
The beast turned its head and looked at the man like it had eyes of its own.
It was still staring when a fist collided on its face, its head fell violently.
Tiagon began raining punches on its upper body. The beast cried with every blow but then it turned and flipped away at a distance close to the door.
Tiagon held out his hand insisting he needed no help, no one was to fight it but himself and he was going to put it down with his fists.
Erin held Aarin in her hands and watched the battle that was about to happen, it was man vs monster or so it seemed.
Tiagon tightened his fists, and the creature growled. His right foot pressed the wooden roof that was the ground and the beast let out a snout.
Be it the power of the dimension or the battle that was to happen, it felt like time slowed and paused for the two conscious women.
They knew Tiagon was strong, powerful, they knew Clyde to be but this was a creature they had not seen before and it was almost impervious to all of their attacks, what could the fists of a young man do whether they're enhanced or not? But they had faith and then, everything went into motion again.
The man leaped and the beast ran.
