Ethan scratched his head, "I thought you were just some random guy. You could have told me you're a pro. You didn't look tough."
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Well. Sometimes it's better to be tough and look weak, so people underestimate you," I replied.
"I never thought about it like that," he murmured.
Just then, he brightened up. "Hey, want to spar with me before the match? It'll help you warm up," he suggested eagerly.
That seemed very out of character for this gloomy guy.
"Yeah, sure. Just give me a second," I said and then I moved away because, with the corner of my eye, I saw someone wearing a suit of the Maxwell Mafia.
I walked up to the towering figure, who stood almost a head taller than me.
His blonde hair had red highlights.
He was a Pioneer.
"Graham Maxwell?" He immediately asked as his piercing gaze met mine.
"Yes. Did my father send you?"
He shook his head. "No. I'm Pioneer Zack."
