As I took a moment to think about Rick's intentions, I couldn't help but wonder why he initially intended to give the key to my father, but he ended up giving it to me instead.
Why did he change his mind?
Did he like me this much, or maybe there was an issue with my father?
I put these thoughts aside and kept reading the paper.
